Back in May, Johnny wanted "Looking up" as his topic. I spent a while in the front garden taking pics of the blossom on our hawthorn bush. So here's one from that set for a second thought on today's "Blossom" topic.

Today's theme was "Animals In Flight".

This is another case where the planned photo didn't live up to my aspirations. I was hoping to do something neat with double exposure, but by the time we got home it was dusk, so the intended effect looks very artificial.

The general idea was to take two photos from a tripod. First one has nothing but background, second has someone (Andra in this case) holding Crystal in the air. Load both photos into Gimp as layers (Andra + Crystal as the top layer) then just use the eraser to wipe out Andra, leaving the background from the first photo to cover the Andra-shaped gap.

Yesterday's topic was "The Moon". I'd already posted a pic by the time the moon rose last night. When we got home from town, it was looking quite pretty so I took a couple of snaps through the trees. Neither is as good as I'd have liked - I had other stuff to get done, so couldn't afford to spend much time on them.

First one's trying to get the moon in focus (you can see craters if you view it full-screen); second is with the branches in focus.

A second thought on today's "at least 80% black" topic. Using our other, bigger, plasma globe.

Today's topic was "Walls". If someone hadn't raised their hand and blocked the logo on the van, this would have been the perfect option!

After seeing my effort for today's "At the end" topic, +Isabelle Hurbain-Palatin got to thinking about 10base2 terminators. Which reminded me of my little pet.

Here's a variation on today's theme of "Wooden Bridges" that Google Photos made from a bunch of photos I took in 2007.
