Look ma, no brushes!
The stock brushed motor in my Traxxas Rustler had died, so of course I seized the opportunity to install a brushless motor and upgraded ESC. This was on a 2S (7.4v) lipo with the stock gearing and the motor was running cool the whole time, so higher gearing and a 3S (11.1v) lipo shouldn't be a problem.

But for now, I should probably focus on more grip instead of more speed 😆

Time to abandon ship?
When reading an article about G+ on Ars (https://goo.gl/Q9mj6R) I saw it mentioned that even +Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google has apparently given up on Google Plus. Wait, really?

Well... yeah. Sure looks like it. Instagram and Twitter are annoyingly crippled and lack a ton of features that G+ has, but they have that one thing that G+ seems to be missing more and more: People who actually want to use them.

As +Adam Christensen very correctly spotted, I am indeed the backend dev/sysadmin.

Great job, Netgear!
//slow claps sarcastically//
'"But perhaps the most puzzling revelation (other than the exploit itself), is that Acew0rm, the hacker that discovered the security hole, notified Netgear about it more than four months ago. Netgear never followed up once he made the company aware of the exploit, to which Acew0rm quipped, “I didn’t think it was going to this big and I thought they were going to instantly patch it.”'

In other news: I should go home and patch my R7000 right about now.

Go change your router password and upgrade the firmware. Now.

Unless yours is one of the 3.2 million infected devices - in that case you should just go buy a new one.

Massdrop + Noble Audio = Win.
I'm sorry if my constant rambling about my beloved Noble in-ear monitors has made you crave a set of their high-end IEMs for yourself, but your wallet has been stopping you.

Well, not all hope is lost! They're doing a collaboration with Massdrop for a dual BA driver universal IEM, born from the same Heritage as the newly launched $599 Sage and the (now discontinued) very well respected $599 Savant.

Price? $249.99 including shipping in the US, international shipping will be available as well.

Massdrop requires you to log in to see the deal, that's why this post has a generic massdrop image, but the link will take you straight to the Noble deal.

Phone cameras don't suck anymore.
Some of the photos I've taken at the last two concerts, showing off what can be done with the S7 Edge in Pro Mode. Should've used RAW and the results could have been even better.

Oh no, new technology! Let's all focus on how to make this sound scary!
Why oh why are technophobes allowed to report on new intentions? I think this could be a truly groundbreaking step towards real-time, convincing voice synthesis. Imagine Stephen Hawking not sounding like a robot, for example - or making Trump say "I love Mexicans" over and over again.
