This is Leitisvatn or Sørvágsvatn the place that made me so wanted to come to Faroe Island. It is not just this lake, it is the water from this lake runs to the edge and plumnets into the ocean creating this falls that is just incredible to see: where the fresh water meets the salt water!!!
The only transportation you can take is by a ferry that operated by a small family not big corperation (does not run frequently, you must book it in advance, it does include a very nice elegant lunch meal and Tea-set on the way back. Soooo very much worth the price! Highely recommended.
After doing just that one day, we realized this place is too incredible to be visited just once, two days later, we drove back there, parked our car at the side of the road by a nearest town, we hiked out there, the whole hike takes about 2 hours one way withour stop...hahahah, without stopping, kidding me! I stopped every 5 min for photos. The weather was very unstable but that yeilded the most spectacular sights for me to snap picturessss. This is one of the result.
The reflection of the sheer cut edge of the cliff on the lake was amazing...beyond word!

Below is a bit information from Google search for reference:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sørvágsvatn
Leitisvatn or Sørvágsvatn is the largest lake in the Faroe Islands. It is situated on the island of ... The greater height of the cliffs on either side of Bøsdalafossur can give the illusion from certain perspectives that the lake is higher above sea level ...

#3  the sheep family was crossing the highway, led by the mother sheep, it was nerve wracking to see, what the mother would do to care for her young's safety!!!! She stopped before crossing, really she looked both sides and waited until the traffic was lighter and hoping the drivers from both ends would slow down!!!!!!!!! My heart was racing every second....YES, the chance was here, she went for it, she looked back at her youngs, you could almost hear she signal them to run, run, run like...... to live life as there is no tomorrow..... ; ))) It was so cute to watch and so thrilling!!!!

#2 Here you see one family: a father and two children, they are actually picking the garbage along the highway and the shoreline. Very nice to see, so discipline!!!!

What about the sheep...?
Well, while I was taking picture of the family (people), the mother sheep with 2 of her lambs, passing me by (see the close up view of the #4 photo later). Guess what they were going to do???
They were going to cross the busy highway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-------------below text from the #1 photo------------------------
As my husband and I drove away from the downtown Torshavn, and heading to the town of Hosvik on the Island of Streymoy, we stopped somewhere next to a little community along the highway where I took this picturque scene...a rather pleasant falls behind some colorful house. Can you image to be the owner of that house, what a nice water features ;: )
Not only the scene caught my attention, the activities that I observed from the local people and a family of sheeps also very touching <3 ; )

If you pay attention to the bottom right of this picture, you will see some people, they were doing something, you know what, they were cleaning the highway and the shoreline, these people are locals not empolyee of any Sanitation Department. The neighbors care about their living environment, so they share the work of the clean...!!! Wish we could all be so self motivate about the cleaniness of our surrounding!!!!!

This is a quiet residential street of the downtown Torshavn, in the Faroe Island.Although it is not a very exciting and exuberant street, I love its simplicity. I also made a digital art piece starting out with this picture and blended with another one...I have posted the art one under my other collection "*Moody Moment*", if you have a chance, feel free to take a look to see the different effect : )

Center of the attention....redroof!
As we drove along the highway headed to the Golden Circle, scenery as this...barren landscape.... is often seen, I bet the owners of this house does not want their house to go unnoticed or this is the only way to find their way home ;) Not wanting to miss the turn out ;)
