Spring is ramping up; the usual early butterflies are out (Cabbage, Sulfur, Hairstreak)...and then this Eastern Tiger Swallowtail flew at me.

Some time ago in this Collection, I posted about an Achemon Sphinx Moth caterpillar I discovered on a grapevine. I thought he was going to winter over in the ground, but he proved me wrong. He emerged, but with severely damaged wings. I took him in as a pet to live his life out without predators.
