The Church of the Rock - https://goo.gl/ep72Rn

This bit of stunning architecture, called the Chapel of the Holy Cross, was the first stop on our trip and I excitedly managed to throw everything I had at it. I've got captures in color digital and film, but I like the far out colors that I got from Infrared.

Unfiltered - https://goo.gl/ohpQ52

My wife will confirm this, I almost never, ever, post an image without post processing it. Even if it's only from my phone, it will get run through +Snapseed before it gets uploaded. But, there are always exceptions...

I shot this while waiting for the elevator in my San Antonio hotel. As luck would have it, my IR converted 5D was in hand and I felt like the dirty, scratched up window gave the image a vintage processed feeling. This really is straight out of camera - no processing or adjustments at all. Talk about getting it all done in camera...

Just the Tip - https://goo.gl/zUCNHL

Unfortunately, we didn't fly as close to NYC as I had hope during my departure last year. As we made adjustments and turns I caught this chunk just at the last moment.

Escape from Gotham - https://goo.gl/nQDzva

Yes, I'm that annoying guy with a camera blocking the window on your flight. But, just tap me on the shoulder and I'm happy to share the view. Another in my series of IR shots taken in flight. Some of my favorites happen when I'm on the ground!

Chrome Dome - http://goo.gl/Typ2mi

Not sure why, but I've been amazed by Half Dome since I was a kid seeing pictures of Yosemite. Looking at the images I shot this trip, I definitely captured it more than anything else in the park, but I've been restraining myself from filling your streams with nothing but Half Dome shots. Today I just couldn't resist. See the rest of the Yosemite Yellow series: http://goo.gl/ok0sBx

Behind the Golden Curtain - http://goo.gl/HVMSey

When I got the spot where I shot this below Vernal Falls, I was a little beat from the hike and declared this as my new happy place. We spent about an hour here just shooting and relaxing, but even with a steady flow of hikers on the trail nearby, it's one of the most serene places I've ever visited. Royal's Golden Arches - http://goo.gl/xEk86R

I loved seeing and shooting all of the famous landmarks of Yosemite Valley, but I hoped to capture something uniquely different about it. I created a series called Yosemite Yellow shot in infrared and already posted one image that included Half Dome (I Stand Alone), but this is a overview of the valley floor from Glacier Point. You can see the rest of the series as it grows here: http://goo.gl/ok0sBx

Feeling Your Warmth - http://goo.gl/WMqa6X

If you want to shoot the sunset from Stoneman Bridge, make sure you get there early! There were a lot of other folks that gathered here for the exact same reason.

Since I was shooting with my IR body, I had wondered how the shadowed foreground would come out. It seems that there was enough reflected IR to show detail, but not enough to give it the false color, and it almost looks like a visible light image.
