Circles and Ovals
Is today's #joinindaily theme with +Johnny Wills!

Early March, I visited a maple sugar farmhouse restaurant in the Berkshire hills for brunch, at the start of our annual maple sugar season. It's a family business that has existed for several generations. They had on display this neat collection of molds that were once used to make maple sugar candies.

Tree Hedge
About two weeks ago I took a day drive out to the Berkshire hills to visit a maple sugar farm. Here is a winter landscape looking down a small hill at the end of the farm. I just finished getting photos when a snow squall blew in!

At Least 70% White!
For today's #joinindaily theme with +Johnny Wills.

Here's a winter landscape of a barren field still mostly covered in snow, from a visit to the Berkshire hills last weekend. With the cloud cover, it's probably around the 70% white mark ... :)

Maple Sugar Season
Thanks to days with above freezing temperatures, the maple sap has started flowing, kicking off this year's maple sugar season in New England. I visited a Berkshire area farm this weekend for a pancake breakfast served with very fresh maple syrup. (The evaporator is boiling the maple sap to make maple syrup.)

Snow in the Forest
For #TreeTuesday with +Ralph Mendoza. This scene is from a storm we had in January. The good news is that there is no snow in the forecast for the next 7 days. Can always be optimistic for an early Spring ... !
