Very happy to hear this from +Leo Deegan. Looking forward to the updates.
What's new with Google+

Hey there Plussers! I'm your friendly neighborhood Server Eng Manger, and I wanted to take a little time to tell you some of the great things the G+ team is working on. As always, we listen carefully to your feedback, and in the coming months, we'll be focusing on your most highly requested areas of improvement, including:

• Better spam control
• Enhanced community moderation
• Improvements to the web user experience
• More intuitive navigation and discovery
• Cleaner notifications

And more that we'll reveal as they become available ;)

We've heard your desire to stay informed about G+ product updates. Going forward, you can expect to hear more from me; our Product Managers, like +John Nack, our Program Managers, like +Carter Gibson; and Community Managers, like +Leanne Osborne and +Madeleine DeRome. We'll try our best to reply to questions and keep you up to date on all the great progress.

Thanks!

How to Optimize Your Google+ Page for Search

This one, simple bit of SEO awareness could make a big difference to your business rankings.

These tips will help you optimize your Google+ page for search. It is an essential part for businesses to give Google more semantic, relevant information about their local business to achieve maximum SEO results.

Have you optimized your Google+ page for search?

#seo #marketing

One thing that still fascinates me about Google+ is how frequently posts that are years old can still be getting new activity (+1s, comments, and shares). You will never see that happening on Amy other social network.

Except maybe Pinterest. There is a bit of evergreen nature built in there because it's so heavily used as a search engine, but it's hard work to get your pins to perform like that.

Native Community Moderation

Today we’re launching native community moderation for the iOS App. This should make the experience of moderating a community on your mobile device quicker and easier. Simply tap the moderate button and get to posts held for review, posts identified as spam, and requests for approval to your community. Let us know what you think!

Now this is freaking cool. Well done guys!
Offline Posting with Smart Retry

We’re excited to announce a major performance improvement for G+ on iOS. We’ve introduced the ability to post while offline or with a low quality connection. Your post will automatically go through once your connection improves. This has already shown a 60% decrease in post failures from iOS devices, which means less frustration in posting to your favorite Collections & Communities when you aren’t at your computer. Happy sharing :)

Vote to Get This Google+ Collections Feature Through Buffer! (http://dustn.ws/2jVBX3p)

For those of you who use Google+ regularly, but also have multiple social media networks you're sharing to, +Buffer is the best tool on the market. However, since the inception of Google+ Collections (and the emphasis Google is putting on them) organic reach and engagement has dropped significantly on non-Collection posts.

In order to be truly successful with your Google+ posts, you need to be posting to your Collections. And up to this point, Buffer has not supported them.

They've now opened up the voting for this feature!

If we all make our voices heard, I'm sure the +Buffer team will make it happen for us!

So leave your vote, and then share it with others to leave their vote as well!

Your response to the new Google+?

Might as well do a poll, right?

I see a lot of people complaining, very few praising (probably because those people made the switch a long time ago) and even more people going about their business as if nothing has happened.

So vote below according to your response to the retirement of the "old" Google+ (which was the new Google+ at one time and everyone hated that at first too) and the solidification of the new Google+.

Insights for everyone

It’s always great to see a positive response to something you’ve posted. But sometimes you want to see what’s happening overall — the big picture.

To help you see how you’re doing, we’re introducing a new profile insights panel in Google+, available whether you post as a person or a page. It’s a private dashboard where you can see the engagement on all your posts, and on reshares of your posts, as well as follows on your profile and Collections.

To find your dashboard, visit your profile on the web version of Google+ (plus.google.com/me) and open the three dots menu at the top.

Events in New Google+ Web
By popular demand, we're rolling out Events on the new Google+ Web experience today. This is the existing Events experience from Google+ Classic, now available in the new Google+ Web app.

As always, please send us your ideas/issues using our Send Feedback menu item as that's the best way to ensure we'll see them. Thanks~
