This was an interesting video to create and edit.  I used something called APowerSoft to record my Android screen to show how I accomplished the Level 5 for the #Google   #LocalGuides  program. I think it turned out really nicely.

From concept to completion, this took about 3 hours.  To capture my Android's screen activity, I used APowerSoft.  I then used Filmora to edit the video to add the graphics, and finally, I used AudioBlocks for my music selection.  I used paid versions of each of these things.

This promo video for the new #im4livestream weekly broadcast was one of those projects that required a lot of my patience!

I had recorded many "takes," because I was having a difficult time about how to give +Sheila Strover a no-tears THANK YOU for her tremendous service she gave for nearly two years for the #LightsCameraHOA weekly broadcast. Then, when I finally got the "take" done just right, I opened the brand new box of Banana Twinkies to help illustrate an important point, my camera STOPPED recording! It was far better to begin from scratch, since I had to subdue my frustrations!

And because I didn't have another brand new box of Banana Twinkies on hand, I had to explain why I didn't tape-up the torn-open box. Trying to remain genuine, I awkwardly (yet happily) re-inacted my first bite of a Banana Twinkie. I was a bit adventurous by editing the pitch of my voice three times, which was thoroughly my humorous escape from a very long day!

From concept to completion (excluding the mistake-takes), this project took around 4 hours. My editing software was Filmora, my music selection came from AudioBlocks, and every image embedded was created via Snagit.

Now, this one was a first, as it relates to doing everything from my Android phone!

For the first time, I used the phone app, AZ Screen Recorder, to screen capture everything that I was doing while I was on my smartphone. The app recorded my voice, as well.

Then the real thrill came when I used the YouTube app to upload it directly from my phone to my YouTube Channel! While doing that, I could edit the footage and add music! Adding the title and description was also done. I could have added the tags, but I want to do that later from my desktop. I will also create a better thumbnail later.

From concept to completion, this only took less than 20 minutes!! This is what raw is! I plan to do more of these short tutorials via this method!

Tell me what you think!

This video project challenges the misconceptions that some people may be having regarding online marketing, and whether of not it is a fad.  Well, if it is, then you might as well say that driving cars and having indoor plumbing is a fad too -- they were at one time, right?  But look what happened: we use cars, toilets, and toilet paper!

From concept to completion, this 3-minute video project took about 15 hours to do. Writing the script probably took the longest time, since I didn't want to confuse the message.  The title is sarcasm, which is sometimes not interpreted correctly.  Gathering all of the images, selecting the music, and then finally making sure everything was timed just right took time, as well.

The zoom-in-and-zoom-out program I used was Prezi.  The editing software I used was #Filmora , the music selection came from AudioBlocks, and I used Snagit to put together the thumbnail.

Finally Revealing My FULL STORY about my YouTube Copyright Strikes!

After many requests to tell my own experiences with YouTube's copyright strikes, I finally feel it's safe to make this video about it.  During the last four days (Fab. 27 through March 1) YouTube has been making public announcements that they have been listening to feedback and are now putting more focus into updating and changing how their policies of copyright infringement, content ID, and YouTube channel takedowns will be changing for the better.

Do I believe it?  Well, after you learn of my story, you'll probably understand why I am hesitant to put too much trust in the promise.

My particular situation happened in March of 2015; so it's one year later that I am willing to share my story in full.  When YouTube started to publicly encourage YouTube Creators to let them know of their experiences with the "bots" who run the system, I knew that the timing for me to talk is right, and is right NOW.

My case involved the usage of a string of three words from a song that was produced way back in the 1970's by a group I will not name (still having the mistrust of using that artist's name or song title).   It was during my set of 65 video series of my "Talking Lyrics" when all I did was "speak" the words of a song (very badly, I must say), and not music was ever heard; I didn't sing, I didn't hum; all I did was.... well, it's best to watch this video and see what I did.  My video in my own words explains the situation and the process I underwent.

Part or my message is to encourage all YouTube Creators to follow up on this hashtag --  #WTFU, which doesn't stand for what you're automatically thinking.  It stands for "Where's The Fair Use."  This is the crux.  Stay current with the changes that are about to come, and what you should already know about copyright and Fair Use.

My story is unique in the most crazy way, so be prepared to roll your eyes a bit, scratch your head in disbelief, and maybe even have a little laugh or two.

If you would like to let me know what you think about my experiences, then please do that in the comment section below.  You can also mention your own YouTube challenges that have come your way regarding copyright strikes and other "now you're in trouble" notices that YouTube has sent to you.  However, if your comments are troll-like, I always delete them.  They are not of value to anyone, and I just don't spend time entertaining trolls and haters.  You may want to reference how I deal with trolls by watching this video here: https://youtu.be/W882GFHZ_es

Back to the topic at hand.... please watch this video in it's entirety.  If you know others who need a bit of encouragement regarding their YouTube notices, please forward this video to them. The more we can spread awareness about what Fair Use means to us, we can be a part of the solution that is certainly necessary at this point in time.

Thanks for reading, and especially watching and listening!

Online Community & Collaboration should feel good like line dancing! Work in-step together!

From Concept to completion, this video project took about 10 hours.  My editing software was #Filmora , my music came from AudioBlocks, and I used Snagit to create the thumbnail.

After all of the footage was gathered, shortened, and put together, I wanted to be sure that each clip represented a variety of people working together.  Even those in the famous "big yellow costumes" came together as different individuals to complete the whole.  What's really noticeable is how many of these teams wore matching colors and styles to enhance the sense of community and purpose.

Selecting the music was a challenge.  I wanted it to definitely give the feeling of line dancing, as well as be something that would inspire the viewers of the video to want to keep time with the music and enjoy it.  Once I found the music, I had to make sure that it was very-near to the dancing beats of those within the footage as much as possible.

If you're familiar to editing videos, you know that you always capture far more than you need; and the cutting-room floor is overflowing with the clips that you couldn't fit into the project.  I had about 20 minutes of footage that needed to be trimmed down to be under 3 minutes.  I even trimmed the music a bit to accomplish this.

I enjoyed this project very much!  I am happy to see that people all over the world are still dancing together; from the young to the old, it works out for everyone who participates!

From concept to completion, this video project took around 15 hours. It’s a very important FYI and PSA message; so I wanted to be sure I could include text and snippets of footage that would bring a bigger impact to viewers.  I used my Logitech C920 to record myself, used Filmora as my editing software, the music selections came from AudioBlocks, and my thumbnail for the video was created by using Snagit.

Please take a look at the YouTube description that I have included below, and SHARE this video to help spread the word to the adults who need to be aware of what might be going on with their youth doing challenges on YouTube. It really matters!

YouTube Description:

Adults of Youth Must Become Aware of the Dangerous Challenges that are happening on YouTube. Minors and young adults are involved in peer-pressure based challenges all for the sake of hoping to become the next viral video or YouTube Star. The risks are far too high; injuries to body, mind, and online reputation can be avoided -- but it can only happen when the adults speak to their youth about the dangers.  Do you know if your youth are okay on YouTube? When is the last time you checked on their online activities?

If you're not comfortable about talking to your youth about these things (and they wouldn't want to hear the message from you), then use this video to do the talking for you.  It's appropriate for all ages, and even shows video footage snippets of what these challenges look like.  There is one snippet of footage that shows a group of 6 teenage boys all duct tapped together while standing right beside the swimming pool!  They are in panic once they are taped up, and the pool is mentioned.  They know they will drown!  It's beyond my comprehension why they would not think these things through.  Another snippet shows a teenage girl who taped up her boyfriend, and then placed plastic bags over his face!  Those are just two examples of the snippets you'll see in this FYI PSA video I've created.
Yes, we all know that silly and ridiculous stunts happen every day; but when they result in bodily injuries or even the possibility of death, this must be stopped.  I also touch a bit on what their Digital Dignity really means for their future, and how they should focus on creating impressive digital archives of themselves, rather than the dangerous kind that will have far-reaching negative outcomes.
As the adult in the family unit, PLEASE help your youth steer clear of these dangerous trendy challenges.  They need your wisdom more than ever.

From concept to completion, this video took me around 10 hours.  I used Prezi for the original zoom-in and zoom-out aspects, my editing software is Filmora, the music selection came from AudioBlocks, and the thumbnail was created by using Snagit.

There is some deeper-thinking required to appreciate this video.  everything is explained in the YouTube description below...

*******
Do you know which city is the best fit for you? Get ready for some deep concepts; this video is not about real cities, but rather, a play on words. All of these cities are words that have -city at the end of them.  This is where your deep thinking is needed.  As the video zooms you in and out to the various-city locations, consider the state of mind each of these reflects. You can take these things as literal or as philosophical as you would like. Share this video with others to promote a group discussion and explore ideas. Let this inspire you to take the actions you have delayed in taking, as well as help you discover ways toward changing things if you are in a -city that does not fit you at all.

These are the 18  -city concepts:
1. Specificity
2. Scarcity
3. Duplicity
4. Tenacity
5. Simplicity
6. Plasticity
7. Capacity
8. Toxicity
9. Audacity
10. Ethnicity
11. Ferocity
12. Atrocity
13. Complicity
14. Opacity
15. Felicity
16. Publicity
17. Authenticity
18. Reciprocity

Going down the rabbit hole of online marketing is an adventure where you will learn the nine (9) types of online marketing. As the video progresses, you'll zoom in and go deeper and deeper down inside the rabbit hole, then you'll zoom out to emerge with some new ideas that can help  you better identify which types of online marketing will best serve your customers and clients.

From concept to completion, this video project took about four hours.
I liked the idea of going down a rabbit hole, and I used the zoom-in and zoom-out effects to give that illusion.  I used Prezi to create the initial presentation, then I used Filmora as my editing software.  My music selection cam from AudioBlocks.  Snagit was used to create my YouTube thumbnail.

The music is used is very dramatic, as if dong through a triumph adventure.  It also reminded me of the drama of the animated film "Watership Down" (1978). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Watership_Down_(film)
