My fountain pen has not seen much work lately so I needed to write something, get the ink flowing again. I have restarted my bullet journal after a couple of months break and have since modified it a little to fit my needs. Here is my current method of marking.

If you enjoy tales of the Revolutionary War, Robert Krenzel does a fantastic job of bring it to life. He just released the third book in his Gideon Hawke series that follows a young man on his journey to manhood through the battles of the war.

I just picked up the third book and cannot wait to dig into it.

Christmas ideas

I've been running a Choose Your Own Adventure game here on G+ and I just discovered these. I know many people love Minecrast and share it with their children so I thought it might be good to share. There a good number of books to choose from.

I have been doing a good deal of writing, though in an unusual method. I have been running a kind of "Choose your path" adventure over in another collection of mine. As the current adventure relies on a good deal of writing, I thought the thousands of people following this collection might be interested in joining in.

The current #DailyAdventure (that's what I am calling it) involves a murder mystery and you play the part of Detective Winters, attempting to solve the mystery of who has murdered three boys out in a small Tennessee town in 1907. Mystery, murder, strange people, eerie happenings, and things that go bump in the night. If that sounds like something up your alley, give it a read over and see if you want to participate in helping solve the murder.

It's Halloween, check out a scary podcast! The Black Tapes is a podcast modeled after Serial but with a supernatural/horror slant and it is very well done.

An instrumental piece of software for writing. If you have yet to use the Hemmingway App (or webpage) you are missing out. The webpage has become an invaluable tool for me and a great way to tighten and better my writing.

It is free, give it a try. You may find you like it as well.

An excellent article. The BuJo had a similar effect for me. I was suffering from memory loss connected to a head injury I suffered in Iraq and due to the stress of my job. I discovered the BuJo method and began to implement it into my daily routine and immediately began seeing results. Decrease in stress, uptick in productivity, happier outlook on life, even more energy.

Due to a change in life (pending retirement), I've stopped using a BuJo, but I can feel all those benefits slipping away. I need to get back into it.

Dear reader, I have been trying lately to expand my exposure to other things and limit my exposure to the same old things I used to pay attention to such as role-playing games. My feed was heavily covered in gaming, nearly so, and I have decided I will cast my net farther - more art, more stories, but less of the bullshit one finds on the net. Thus this careful progress has resulted in a far slower progression than might be ideal if one were simply interested in the gathering of information.

I mentioned a few weeks ago that I had wanted to spread my wings a bit on podcasts. Frankly, in my opinion, the majority of gaming podcast blow chunks and so I wanted something more. Something interesting, inspiring, and generally something good to listen too. If it concerned gaming that was cool but not necessary.

Another fellow on G+ posted a quick link one day last week and I decided to check it out. I am about nine episodes into it and enjoying the podcast, there are over eighty episodes so I have a long way to go to get caught up - but I am ok with that.

HFtMT is an odd bit of comedy but it is generally pretty good with reoccurring characters that help tell us about the loony make-believe world they live in named Foon. The characters are pretty funny, if silly, and over time you get to known their stories and background.

Check it out, you might like it.
