If you think Oobleck seems like a work of fiction, then you are kind of right. Dr. Seuss is the one responsible for the name of this weird goo. Most substances that we observe follow the definitions of what it is to be a solid, liquid, or gas. But there is something strange going on with non-Newtonian fluids. Give this simple DIY science project a try to feel it for yourself! #AstroCamp #DIY #Science #experiment

#DANGER! Did You Know: Steel Wool. Try this one out with some supervision. All you need is steel wool, a 9 volt battery, and a non-flammable surface to see this great conductor jump into action!

When you touch the 9 volt battery to the steel wool, quite a #shocking reaction will occur. The steel wool completes the circuit of the battery, allowing electricity to flow through it. Due to the the current in the steel wool, it will heat up hot enough to actually burn it! #science #stem #AstroCamp.
