Logan Mill in central Pennsylvania

This was once a quite busy Grist Mill turning the various grain of the farmers in the flour and meal they needed for food and for sale. The one photo shows the water raceway that went through the mill to turn the big stones that did the grinding.

This was a pretty old farmstead. I thought I saw what may have been a part of foundation of a barn. There is also what looks like a chicken coop that is slowly decaying.

I am saying it is old because there aren't any sizable fields and lots of pretty young trees.

One look at the porch and I decided that it was probably not a good idea to go inside. Probably fall through a floor.

An old farmhouse and barn going to slow decay. I think this may be a case of a big farm buying a smaller farm as there was a couple of pretty new pieces of farm machinery just behind the house. The structures will probably be left to decay as it would cost money to remove them and won't gain much in acreage.

This is something of an enigma. It is a largish home (lodge maybe) with several small out buildings. There was no sign that there was ever a barn on the property. Perhaps there were some horses and this was some well to do family getaway? The cleared area did fill a small secluded valley.

I think this was either a home or a hunting camp (lots of those in the area). Either way, it's a real fixer upper!

The overflow of what was once the reservoir for the water supply for Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. The plaque lists all the leaders involved in the design and construction. The reservoir has long since filled with silt and to much larger and newer reservoirs were built upstream.
