The Empathy Gap in Domestic Violence
http://goo.gl/D4E1h0

Imagine being abused on a regular basis while also fearing being accused of committing fabricated abuse yourself on the basis of your sex.

A horrifying thought, but it occurs, and people ought to care. That is injustice in one of its highest forms. We must have fairness in law.

No presumed offenders regardless of who calls on the basis of one party being male, no more of this idea that women are incapable of abuse.

Women and men, when abused by a partner, deserve protection and support. The biases of the law and its enforcers must change. Society, as well, must improve.

Support services:

The Mankind Initiative provides terrific, unique, and vital services for victims of domestic violence, and is one of the best support outlets for men.

Information on Volunteering for the Mankind Initiative
http://new.mankind.org.uk/support-us/volunteers/

(About the Mankind Initiative): "The ManKind Initiative is a national charity (registered in 2001) providing help and support for male victims of domestic abuse and domestic violence. We employ two members of part-time staff to operate the help-line and rely on a small team of volunteers to run the charity. On average our income and expenditure is £40,000 and we are currently receiving no funding for our helpline from trusts or grant-making bodies so we rely on the kind generosity of the public to provide this vital service."

Good Housekeeping.com ran an article describing how one newly wed man was abused by his wife.
Clearly the mainstream is starting to publish these stories.
