Here you will find RPG related posts. I irregularily write on my blog, and you will find those posts here as well.

For convenience, here is a copy of my RPG profile

I'm currently running (at home): Chthonic Codex set in the Hypogea (see the wiki at

I'm currently running (online): nothing

Tabletop RPGs I'm currently playing (online) include: nothing

I would especially like to play/run: Red Tide, Stars Without Number

...but would also try: Most games.

I live in: Berlin, Germany

2 or 3 well-known RPG products other people made that I like: Brad Murray's diaspora, Mark Smylie's Artesia RPG, Death Frost Doom by James Raggi

2 or 3 novels I like: The Lies of Locke Lamora, The 1000 Autumns of Jacob de Zoet

2 or 3 movies I like: Pacific Rim, Star Wars Episode 7, deadpool

Best place to find me on-line: Google+

I will read almost anything on tabletop RPGs if it's: Informed by actual use.

I really do not want to hear about: ./.

I think dead orc babies are ( circle one: funny / problematic / ....well, ok, it's complicated because....): It's complicated. Orcs exist as the embodiment of evil; if you want to have fun/wax problematic with dead babies, why not use human ones?

Probably our last soup on G+
You are welcome in the kitchen:

I want to brew a Soup about the Sunset of a world.

The gods are sunsetting their pantheons and the world. Free from their alignments, people and monsters are evacuating together. To reach new worlds they have to migrate across near infinite astral plains.

Inspiration: The Banner Saga, Oregon Trail, and other stories about long migrations. Also the G+ sunsetting...

What I want:
- Original means of world evacuations that lead to the astral plains (astral gates, Bifrost bridges, cosmic tunnels, etc...).
- Astral plains landscapes and encounters.
- Different caravans of refugees to join up.
- How people and monsters are working together.
- Minor deities who became mortals to accompany their followers.
- What happen to divine spellcasting and alignment based spells.
- Pocket worlds to find refuge in and how they are flawed.

Turns out, the group follows the petrified Eld's lead towards the Golden Barge. One of them is relieved of the Sin of Flesh eventually, having his brainbox opened; the other flees destroying the growth sacs on the way out after disabling two ghuls by subjecting them to the pleasure gas of the entertainment chamber .... overall, a fun evening.

The group would have fared better if all players that had signed up had turned up, but such is the tide of the open table game: Uncaring and ever changing.
The group is adrift at sea on a psychonautically controlled skiff steered by a petrified being from hell that has no interest returning to the place the group came from. Where are they headed?

Free PDF version of Cosmic Crawl!
Feel free to reshare, tomorrow I will upload a print version on LULU.

When we filled the map I was really unsure if it would end up giving something gameable or not but now I think I really like the end result.

Thanks again for everyone who contributed a description. :) :) :)

I am looking forward reading your feedbacks about the whole thing as I am very curious of what people will think of it.

When Over-Captain Kliax fails to keep control over his Ceramic Plate Armor succumbing to an Animate Armor spell, resulting in Razordisc Gunning Under-Captain Killman, then the Misty Isle of the Eld collide with Chthonic Codex and the group actually escapes the Isle by hair's breadth.

It probably won't immediately be a problem that they took the paralyzed bathtub prisoner with them, who in return psycho-controlled the skiff they used to flee the island. Maybe ... later.

Can't have enough takes on the MuscleWizard. Here's a rhythmic one.

Not sure if it's a nod to Mazes&Minotaurs, but a currently kickstarted setting inspired by mythic Greece has "Ships&Naval Combat" as it's first stretch goal.
