Coiffed for the Holidays, this trio initiates the 1890 season in style! The reverse (see comments below) featured a sad lion advertising Lion Coffee. He was probably unhappy to see the season go so quickly! The hairstyles, however, endured.

A part of sorts courtesy of well-meaning parents. Remember when somebody else chose your hairstyle? Unfortunately, we don't know who posed for this portrait or the choices they made later, but https://goo.gl/BHCwpG has an interesting story about the company that made "Petrolina!"

Revelation! Some men had hair. Some men had style. Some had both hair and style in the late 1800s! For more, click https://goo.gl/3EDWVo page 54 of the Earl J. Arnold Advertising Card Collection.

Hair like this does not need a hat, Foster, Higgins & Co.! It has sufficient style to carry the day without one!

From https://goo.gl/F9HCQB three popular 1888 styles are portrayed. Over the century, unfortunately, the perfume in this card has evaporated. The beauty of the three young ladies, however, still shines.

The Larry Fine look? From https://goo.gl/Nsd5Gc With adjustment this distinctive design could have inspired Three Stooges actor Larry Fine years later. Modern variations have been more stylish.
