My battery life on Android Pie has been pretty great as well.
How is yours?

Oh yeah, I'm way more into this than the over-leaked Pixel 3 XL. Reasonably-sized and notchless phones FTW.

Google has really been focusing on improving the user experience with recent updates to Android and Google Fit, and now Wear OS is set to get the same treatment.
Just like Android Pie, this update focuses on helping you "get the most out of your time" by making it quicker and easier to access information and notifications, health coaching, and Google Assistant with simple gestures right from the watch face. Assistant on Wear will also become more proactive by suggesting timely information like flight status, rain in the forecast, or delays on your commute.
These features will begin rolling out "over the next month".

This is a very nice little demo - I'm looking forward to the full release.
It's kind of like downhill autocross! 😁

Google Fit (finally) gets an update - and a lovely MD2 makeover!
The update introduces two new metrics developed in conjunction with the American Heart Association and World Health Organization to promote better overall health: Move Minutes and Heart Points.
When it comes to your health, it’s important to move more and sit less. Earn Move Minutes for all of your activity and get motivated to make small, healthy changes throughout your day, like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or catching up with a friend over a walk instead of a coffee.
Activities that get your heart pumping harder result in even greater health benefits. Heart Points give you credit for these activities. You’ll score one point for each minute of moderate activity, like picking up the pace while walking your dog, and double points for more intense activities like running or kickboxing.
The update will begin rolling out on Android and Wear OS this week. You can also check out https://www.google.com/fit/ while you wait.

Today's update finally brings support for offloading some processing to the Pixel Visual Core - and it makes a huge difference in quality.

I can't wait to play this!
So stoked for this to come out! Can't take much more of this teasing, though.

This handy guide from +JR Raphael should help to resolve some of the most common questions I've seen about using Android Pie.

This interview provides a great "behind the scenes" look at the priorities which drove the changes in Android Pie: subtract, combine, prioritize, clarify.
I've been loving Pie on my Pixel 2, and I think it's pretty cool to hear how the new OS was really informed by an emphasis on getting more done in less time.
