Things like this make me wonder if Google decided that, since G+ isn't a priority anymore, only interns should be working on the project..?

The legislation grants law enforcement agencies three powers. The first two, Technical Assistance Notices and Technical Capability Notices, are compulsory and require companies to give access to encrypted data if they’re able, or to build the capacity to do so if they can’t already. Companies can be fined up to $10 million AUD (around $7.2 million USD) if they don’t comply with either notice. The third is a Technical Assistance Request, a voluntary version of the first two powers that doesn’t need to be publicly reported and isn’t kept in check by the systemic weakness clause.

Good god, people who work in government are super duper uber dumb.

If every Edge user were using the very latest version of Edge, it wouldn't be so bad, but that's not the case, and that's because of how Microsoft has bundled Edge with Windows 10.

The result is that all those compatibility, stability, and feature improvements made in versions 1803 and 1809 will be completely off-limits to the machines running 1709.

Hey Apple, are you listening?? Because this is exactly what Safari suffers from. I know people who haven't updated macOS for a year, sometimes two. iOS has better adoption, but still, there are lots of people who wait a while before installing the latest OS - and with it, Safari.

The [EU Article 11] copyright directive should give all publishers the right to control their own business models and destiny by giving them the choice to waive the need for a commercial license for their content.

So.. article 11 will force publishers to license their own content??! What the hell is the EU thinking??!

Btw, this is how you kill off new, small and/or innovative publishers and favors the big, established ones. It makes you wonder who really came up with the contents of Article 11, doesn't it...? 🤔
