Another weekend, another adventure, this time work related as I am attending the World Challenge Expedition Preparation Conference.
It's taken 13 months, but I finally had a chance to reshoot the Sydney Opera House with Carl ;)
This one is dedicated to my dear friend +Ana Andres who I was privileged to have had many fun times with here and in other locations. Not as good as your images Ana, but so much fun to do. You were with me in spirit ;)

I'm off on an adventure to undertake training for my 4 week World Challenge expedition to Borneo and Malaysia in November.
If you can guess where I'm headed, I'll send you a postcard ;)

This day travelling through NSW from Eden to Narooma was the most surreal I have ever experienced. Part of the reason for that statement was the incredible golden hour late in the day, followed by the most spectacular sunset I have ever experienced.
Such warmth and beauty in the world at this time of day.

Just a few kms from the main highway in southern NSW, you find some pretty interesting roads to travel.
This was the best quality road surface we encountered on the side road Molly and I chose.
Well worth taking, and navigating over huge undulations added to the fun ;)
We had the place to ourselves, which was pretty well perfect

This is another image from our sodden Sydney trip a few weekends ago. As I said in another post, it was the best creative fun I've had in ages!
The buildings on the right are part of the Rocks area, the original city buildings from when the whites settled here. The textures in the stone are really tactile and lovely.
On the left is a section of the Sydney CBD.
I need to go back to lots of posts and acknowledge all the feedback and support. Now I have a lull in my workload, I'll do so :)

If you happen to be in Sydney during one of their prolonged downpours, be adventurous and go investigating.
Saturday morning, I roamed freely, finding all sorts of nifty things to capture. No crowds, apart from a couple of Vivid security guards who thought I was mad :-)
This is a long exposure taken under the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
It's an incredibly well designed structure and worth closer inspection.

Have I told you how much I love Sydney?
Always new ways of looking at things up here, and surprises around every corner.
A two hour walk early this morning in persistent rain was the most creative fun I've had in ages.

I seem to remember +Craig Loxley taking a shot like this, and I loved it. I never thought I'd have a chance to steal his idea be inspired to emulate him ;)

Wild Tide
I spent some time in this favourite location - The Pinnacles on Phillip Island, Victoria.
The tide was roaring in so there were few opportunities to do the long exposures I wanted to.
Such a great event to enjoy though, nature's power over adventurous and enthusiastic photogs :)

Prehistoric
If you are lucky enough to spend some time in Tasmania, I can highly recommend seeking out some fern gullies and settling in for a peaceful relax.

Monsters like these ones at Mt Field National Park really make you feel like you have been catapulted back in time.

If you are lucky enough to be there when few others are and are very quiet, you may witness great performances from some of the furred or feathered inhabitants.

Relax, breathe in the fresh air, feel yourself being reinvigorated.
