Have you ever asked your self a question? How much money you would have to pay to connect your in vehicle or in motion IoT device to the cloud? Did you know there are many fees and middle man before you can get your dream IoT device get connected to the cloud? Each of the middle man presents security concerns and cost concerns. In certain situations for some customers we create our own custom cloud specifically to reduce dependency on major public cloud providers and intermediate 3rd party companies while simultaneously helping companies reduce costs dramatically.

Who said that you must use Amazon? Who said you must use major telecommunication carrier? Sure it can be great for simplicity, and perhaps it can be great if customers already using cloud and IoT such as AWS IoT.

However, not every customers business model can afford to actually be in the cloud, simply because cost factor wise just to be able to connect to the cloud requires companies to hop through many middle man before you can even get connected, reducing company's chances of actually being able to connect affordably.

Connecting affordably means better price for IoT product that the customer is trying to market and that means more money for the customer since other customers of the Binary Fusion customer would essentially see the IoT product as a more affordable product.

Be prepared to have analytical mind set and be prepared to spend time on analyzing each 3rd party vendor who is willing to aggregate data flow for your IoT mobile devices in the field.

Be prepared in analyzing their security mechanisms, be prepared to be explaining them what you want and explaining carrier providers what you want and your internal IT team in your company and your CIO.

Or perhaps if you are CIO be prepared to be analyzing all of what was just described your self and spend tons and tons of time trying to come up with solution for how to interconnect your IoT devices to the cloud. Be prepared to do so, or be prepared not to do so. Not doing so can increase risk of your devices getting hacked.

To dramatically reduce your chances of getting hacked, you either need to hire IT Security Engineer with solid specialization in vehicle and in motion IoT networking. Typically we are referring to the type of people who come from Cisco routing and switching background with IT security oriented and IT generalist type of mind set and great communication skills knowing how to pull the strings. Unless you are an enterprise company such folks are hard to come by, most of such folks would already be employed for large size companies within high salary ranges of 250k to 400k.

Clearly in many cases of hiring such folks for only single project of having your devices properly connected may not be the most affordable option for medium or small size companies.
