A Pot of Gold
We are all searching for an energy that lifts us out of the mundane because we often get bogged down by busyness and set patterns. Some find it in books, others painting, music or through exercise and movement - anything that expands thought. The word inspire means to breathe in, to increase in scope. But how do we maintain inspiration when forces exist in opposition? How do we to stay inspired when life gets tough? A short answer is to create it. Inspiration is self-generating. Because we are defined and sustained by breath we can follow its path and look within. The ground for inspiration lies inside of us as potential. When not utilized it stays dormant. “What if” you directed your attention to the source of your own our creative nature instead of only recognizing it in others? Creativity is not for the select few. We do this by setting up goals that align with our dreams and setting aside our fears of not being enough. Inspiration begins with the decision to be and to act despite the fear. Listen to your heart, ask the questions, and immerse yourself in nature to clear away the distractions, and inspiration will walk with you every step of the way. We are here to create; why wait another day to tap into this wellspring of energy.

Checks and Balances
It's the nature of all living beings to always work towards balance. The dictionary defines balance as an even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady. The challenge becomes how to balance what we must do with what we enjoy and choose to do…and we know this isn’t always easy. When we don’t reduce stress and manage a well-balanced life there can be physical and/or emotional health consequences.
There are certain laws that govern how we must live. For example, the heart beats so many times per minute. Our body temperature falls within a given range. Our brain is always managing between the left and right - emotion versus intellect. These are markers that pertain to the physical body. When we get 'dis- eased' (out of ease or balance) we must take the necessary steps to get it back. But this is also true in our emotional life. Finding balance is about making adjustments and corrections while staying focused on a destination until you get there…many times only to find a new destination waiting. You can’t just point in a direction and remain passive about it. It’s a constant decision and willingness to remain active, change your direction, and change your behavior and actions.
Can you imagine your life flowing in a holistic way? Are there areas in your life where you find yourself stuck and in need of change? Remaining open and willing to make the small and large corrections necessary will help you get there.

“Space…the final frontier”
Do you have a little cash on hand? Like $200,0000? If you did, would you spend it on a very special sixty minutes in space? This very expensive hour will be offered for space travel in the not so distinct future through Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic spaceflight company. His vision for a commercial spacecraft is already in development. For those with an adventurous spirit (and hefty pocketbook) it's considered a trip of a lifetime. One can’t help but wonder what it would look and feel like to travel in space beyond the force of gravity and experience weightlessness.
So what could explain this desire to explore the heavens as a space tourist? What is it about the letting go that intrigues?
Space represents a care-freeness and freedom from burden. Do we aspire to something greater, when we are not weighted down with self-limiting beliefs? Isn't it the nature of mind to seek something higher, and more expansive? Through the advent of the Hubble telescope the science world has learned that our Milky Way is just one of the billions of billions of galaxies out in space. Space doesn’t know limitation. Why should we? The truth is we have another pathway to freedom and inner satisfaction. It involves going inward and starts in our own creative imagination. To be free is to experience any and all options and then bring that freedom into the everyday. If we can’t find that freedom to live true to who we are now we will never find it in any other realm of creation.
We are presented with a golden opportunity. The future of exploration starts in this very moment within this dimension. It’s not ours to waste.

A Spoonful of Honey
Ever notice how a bee colony is structured? It's really quite beautiful in that they have a hierarchy they abide by. There is the queen that reproduces and the workers that build the hive. It's a constant activity with one goal in mind - to gather pollen back to the hive for food for the developing brood. This beautiful expression of nature is but one example of how life operates at different levels. We see this influence from the beginning of our universe through present day; a formation of energy and particles all laid out in sequence. Our Universe came from a singular point and is ever evolving. We are created out of these beautiful fields of energy all playing out their expressions. What started as space, formed atoms and over time became the world we live in. When we step out of worries and concerns we immediately access the beauty and feel the wonder of what supports us. Perhaps more than any other creature, the bee is held up as setting a selfless example to mankind of organized society. Can we learn from their masterful instinct on how to unveil our own intuition?
It's no mystery why the great leaders and mystics before us urged us to look to the heavens to find meaning and happiness.
"Look deep into nature, and then you will understand better."- Albert Einstein

Spreading Kindness
It feels good when we go out of our way to help someone or extend an act of kindness. That’s because an act of kindness generates a healing energy that taps into an innate sense of connection we all share. How quickly those feelings can change though when somebody cuts us off on the highway or jumps in front of us in line. That’s when another side of our personality is revealed. Our first reaction might be to lash out and speak our mind - and not kindly. In that instance emotion eclipses consideration. Once traffic starts to flow and the lines dwindle, our affection returns. This reveals the dualistic nature of our mind. When we put more attention into the kinder self it will naturally grow.
This quality of care, gentleness and consideration are subtle cues that love, not hate, is the answer to all the world’s problems. It's the glue that holds us together. At the individual level, we feel this and know it to be true. What’s exciting is to see its importance start to pervade our culture on a large scale. Institutions like Harvard are committing their students to upholding values and to be nice to one another. Kindness is given as much importance as intellectual attainment. The “Class of 2015 Pledge” encourages students to think about the world in a certain way and to value kindness. ‘The Kindness Rocks Project’ is a grassroots movement started by Megan Murphy who began painting and drawing rocks with quotes and dropping them along the beach to spread inspiration. What started as a hobby turned into a social media movement and website. Kindness was the motivation and connection to do good. The power of kindness is immense because it can change the dynamics of any situation. When we look for the small positive moments in each day, and show gratitude for them, our awareness grows. We begin to not only notice kindness; we expect it and then cultivate it.
When words are both true and kind, they can change the world - Buddha
