Happy Monday! This is for #JoinDaily #JoinInDaily curated by +Johnny Wills with the theme today of Side view. I had posted a close up image of this guy a while back but here it is full length with it's long tail. This is one of our more common lizards in Kansas, a Collared Lizard. They don't lose their tails unless absolutely necessary to get away from prey because they use them for balance. Hope you enjoy the image and have a great day!

Well, it's Saturday somewhere. I will be busy till late tomorrow so going to post early. This is for #RuralSaturday and was taken last Sunday evening out on Konza Prairie. The Bison were visible on the hillside across from the barn and I was able to capture this group that were on the move. Hope you enjoy the image and have a great day!

Hello and happy Saturday! I have not shared a sunrise in a while and we had a quite beautiful start to the day yesterday morning. The whole sky even to the west had all these red highlights. It was quite a lovely way to start the day. Hope you enjoy the image and have a great day today!

Hi all, happy Saturday! This is an image I took earlier this year of the stone barn at Konza Prairie at sunset. The barn has been restored and converted into meeting areas and is beautiful inside as well as out. They kept some of the barn woodwork and features in the restoration. Hope you enjoy the image and have a great day!

Happy hippity Hump Day! I don't normally share 2 birds in one week, let alone 2 birds of the same kind however this fit well for the #NewBirdPoker theme. This week the game is being curated by +Dusty Gedge and today's theme is In, On or Over a Tree. This is another Dickcissel sitting high up in a tree looking over the Konza Prairie on a Spring Day. Hope you enjoy the image and have a great day!

Hi all and Happy Saturday! I went out to the Geary State Lake near me and shot the sunset, something I hadn't done in a while. With the clouds we had in the sky from a recent rain I thought I had a chance to get a good one and was not disappointed. Hope you enjoy the image and have a great day!

Hi all, checking in very late for #JoinInDaily #JoinDaily curated by +Johnny Wills and his theme today is Falling Water. This is the waterfall in Kansas near where I live in a regular exposure image instead of my usual long exposure. Still really amazes me that we have something so close like this in a place everyone thinks is flat but is not. Hope you enjoy the image and have a great day!

Hello and happy Saturday! This image is for #JoinDaily #JoinInDaily curated by +Johnny Wills with the theme today of Goes On and On. This is a view of Konza Prairie looking east in the setting sun a week ago Friday. As the title of my Collection says, My Kansas is not Just Flat, because I live in the beautiful Flint Hills area. This particular area in the image is part of where the Bison herd is kept but unfortunately, they were not in sight this evening. The trails you can see through the tall grass are made by the Bison which, unlike cattle, travel mostly in single file and create these trails. This is a 2 shot panorama image.
Hope you enjoy the image and have a great day!
