Derek Jarman's Garden

I love this little garden with it's quirky sculptures made from beach combing finds.

Hastings Country Park

A vast area of sandstone cliffs, footpaths, nature trails and picnic areas with some of the best views across the Channel that you will see anywhere. A great place to visit with children and lovey to walk with your dog.

Canterbury

Canterbury is just over an hour drive from our cottages at Camber Sands. Canterbury cathedral is probably one of the most famous religious buildings in the world and the many other ancient buildings in this city make Canterbury a popular tourist destination.

Possibly the most photographed historic building in Canterbury after the Cathedral, Sir John Boys House (sometimes known as Crooked House, King's Gallery, or Old Kings Shop) is a delightfully skewed 17th century half-timbered building at the extreme end of Palace Street, with projecting jetties onto Palace and King Streets.

Dungeness

One of my favourite places to wander, Dungeness in Kent has an eerie, almost forgotten feel about it. A photographer's paradise and just a short drive from our holiday cottages.

Hastings Old Town

Hastings is the home to Europe's largest beach launched fishing fleet. The Stade has been used for beaching boats for over a thousand years. Here you can buy fresh fish and seafood directly from the fishermen.
