Avocado Ada Pradhaman is a wonderful twist to the original recipe of Kerala Style Ada Pradhaman by replacing milk with avocado. The natural creamy texture of avocado makes the recipe so rich that it tastes good with or without milk. Those who are sensitive to milk can have this dessert without any guilt by omitting milk. Avocado must be completely ripened. I generally put them for a day or two inside rice container so that it is ripened perfectly. You can also include nuts of your choice in this dish.

Onam/Thiruvonam is the festival of harvest and prosperity in Kerala, India which is celebrated in the beginning of Chingam month. Onam carnival with folk dance, songs, snake boat race (vallamkali in Pampa river), display of artistically decorated elephants, traditional music, combat game of kayyankali, colourful flowers and elaborate festive meals marks the momentous 10 days of Onam. In Kerala, it is believed that the spirit of prosperous and just ruler Mahabali visits land on Thiruvonam. Veppilakatti | Lime Leaves Pickle Recipe is a traditionally made healthy dish during Onam in Palakkad region. Lime leaves, curry leaves, roasted dry chili, tamarind and hing are combined and blended as a coarse paste. They are then made as small balls for consumption. It tastes good when sprinkled over curd rice. Since we do not get this leaves in most of the places I altered to use Kaffir Lime leaves and it tasted the same way like bitter orange leaves.
