While this rant goes a bit overboard, I did think that the Superman story being told in the movies is actually an interesting one. They just need to remember that superhero movies are also supposed to be a lot of fun.

Based on what I'm reading, I think WB/DC has acknowledged that. So I have high hopes for Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman.

Totally the way I feel about it :-)

New Star Wars theory (maybe spoiler ahead?):

Rey is the daughter of Luke Skywalker and the granddaughter of Snoke (some as-yet-unnamed female Jedi). That's why she is more powerful than Kylo... Two powerful Jedi parents. Also explains why Rey was able to "hear" Snoke and the look Luke gives her.

I have a new theory about the DC TV Universe: They are trying to tackle every superhero sub-genre story.

* gritty street fighting with gadgets (seasons 1-2 of Arrow)
* science fiction and super powers (season 1 of Flash)
* magic / mystical (this year of Flash and Arrow)
* time travel (upcoming DC's Legends of Tomorrow)

There's only one story genre left, and it's the hardest one to pull off (especially on a television budget): Cosmic!

If Legends does well, do you think they'll attempt it (Green Lantern, Darkseid)?
