Soothed by the soft composure of lilac, this abstract note, entitled: "what I am to you I am to you" painted in 2016 using acrylic & pencil on watercolor paper, by artist: Jimmie James, resembles a closed eye, behind which lies a mind deeply contemplating. I love how the thoughts tumble out from the dark shape, like whispers from a mouth. Is the art more important than the artist? Does anyone care about the life of the poet?

An adorable abstract entitled: The Cupboard created in 1940 by Swiss/German artist: Paul Klee. I love the colors used, along with the heavy thick lines. It's beauty lies in its simplicity. Perhaps it is realism, or naive cubism. Either way, tempting to turn it on its head to reveal another story.

A wriggling little abstract entitled: Boats in the Flood painted in 1937 by Swiss/German artist: Paul Klee. We can make out the boats, held within lines of asemic symbolism. The blank canvas is comforting, by way of allowing the eyes to rest, acting as a reminder of the calm beyond the storm.

A complex artwork entitled: The Ten Greatest, No. 6 created in 1907 by Swedish mystic & artist: Hilma af Klint, who lays out a picnic of our lives. Inspired by the occult, her work is full of symbolism, as she traces cosmic paths of energy so necessary for the continual cycle of creation and re-creation. Is it any wonder that this scene contains so many oval eggs? It is a fertile composition you will either admire or not. I think there is little room for a middle ground.

A final painting by Russian abstract artist: Artur Kulikov, entitled: Balancing on white. There is a sense of fun and renewal when considering his large body of work. Inspired to share his deep inner feelings, this is a connection to thoughts that spoil the moment. Always we seek the blissful plateau of untroubled peace, but often, our everyday excursions into the coffee shop of life has us facing the spills. Sleep is the reset button, but for now, we are immersed in the bright white of day.

A clink of blue glasses and a toast to friendship reborn, in a shapely abstract painting entitled: Grace note 15 created by Russian artist: Artur Kulikov. It's full of textural components, of words carried over from one soul to another, as they build on yesterday's momentum, in a saturation of drips.

An acrylic on canvas painting entitled: Toys in light created by Russian abstract artist: Artur Kulikov. I get a sense of yesterday's play abandoned on the grass, snowed over in the night that become memory's footprint.
