Arcul de Triumf
Arcul de Triumf is a triumphal arch located in the northern part of Bucharest.
The first, wooden, triumphal arch was built hurriedly, after Romania gained its independence (1878), so that the victorious troops could march under it.
The current arch has a height of 27 metres and was built after the plans of the architect Petre Antonescu. The sculptures with which the facades are decorated were created by famous Romanian sculptors such as Ion Jalea and Dimitrie Paciurea. Presently, military parades are held beneath the arch each December 1, with the occasion of Romania's national holiday.

Herastrau Park
Herastrau Park is a large park on the northern side of Bucharest, Romania, around Lake Herastrau , one of the lakes formed by the Colentina River.

The park has an area of about 187 ha, of which 74 ha is the lake. Initially, the area was full of marshes, but these were drained between 1930 and 1935, and the park was opened in 1936.
Its current name, Herastrau , named after the Herastrau lake, has its origin in a dialectal version of the word ferăstrău in standard Romanian, meaning saw or sawmill, referring to the water-powered sawmills that were once found the Colentina river which flowed through it.

National Village Museum “Dimitrie Gusti” - virtual tour
Bucharest, Romania
Bucharest - Village MuseumFounded by royal decree in 1936, this fascinating outdoor museum, the largest in Europe, covers some 30 acres on the shores of Lake Herastrau in Herestrau Park. It features a collection of 50 buildings representing the history and design of Romania's rural architecture. Steep-roofed peasant homes, thatched barns, log cabins, churches and watermills from all regions of the country were carefully taken apart, shipped to the museum and rebuilt in order to recreate the village setting. Throughout the year, the Village Museum hosts special events where you will have a chance to witness folk artisans demonstrating traditional skills in weaving, pottery and other crafts.

The wooden church in Răpciuni, Ceahlău commune, Neamţ County, is a church built in 1773.
The architecture is in the style of the old Moldavian wooden churches. The construction has several inscriptions in Slavonic, Slavonic-Romanian or Romanian, which are added to Slavonic ones from iconography.

Wine press
Mesendorf, Brasov, 1864
The wine press or Keiter, in Saxon dialect, was build in 1864 in the village of Mesendorf, Brasov, village that belongs to the ethnographic sub-area Rupea in Tara Barsei. It was an annex of the owner's dwelling building, but the whole village community used it for grape processing.
The wine pres is operated with a lever and it comprises the wood pillar, the forked beam, the screw, the grape "enclosure" basket and the trimmer to sustain the fork. The basket was made carved oak timber and is the place where the grapes are crushed, this obtaining around 300 liters of must.

The household's gate has also an ingenious action system, by sliding a beech plank panel having a " secret" lock through a notch in a board. In the vicinity of the gate is the "merindar", a miniature wooden house that hosts the wooden pail with fresh water and a bowl of fruits.
