Auction: An Out-of-This-World Private Tour & Picnic at Martian Ranch & Vineyard

Your group of four will head to Los Alamos for a behind the scenes visit to Martian Ranch & Vineyard, a biodynamically farmed, 20-acre Estate vineyard and winery. Your experience will begin in the tasting room with a custom tasting and talk with owner Nan. Then you’ll take a walk through the wine cellar to check out the large Foudre barrels and learn about biodynamic farming with winemaker Eric Bolton.

Next you’ll hop on a 4-wheel drive “mule” for a scenic tour through the vineyards, to a beautiful pond for some amazing vistas and a look at the small but growing herd of Irish Dexter cows -- which are an important part of the ecosystem at the ranch! You’ll enjoy a leisurely gourmet picnic at the pond and each person in your group will receive a bottle to take home.

Want to tour @SpireGlobal with their CEO and learn more about their nanosatellites?

Spire Global, Inc, one of the "newspace" pioneers, is building a large constellation of nanosatellites, each smaller than a typical shoebox, in order to offer customers insights into aircraft tracking, weather and climate, shipping and supply chain and maritime domain awareness. Spire has 20 nanosatellites on orbit today as they march toward their full-sized 125 satellite constellation.

Leading space-tech investor and Bessemer Vice President Sunil Nagaraj will kick off this tour with a breakfast and talk focused on space investing at Universal Café prior to your tour. On this tour, your group will get to see Spire’s very small satellites which are about the size and shape of a shoebox and assembled largely with off-the-shelf components similar to what's in your smartphone. Your group will also get to interact with Spire’s scientists and see their network of nanosatellites at work sensing the 75% of the planet inaccessible to most current systems which rely largely on land-based remote sensing.

NOTE: Lot will close at 4 p.m EDT April 20, 2017 to be part of a live auction the evening of Saturday, April 22.
