Concrete foundation is is bad for acoustics. It absorbs the lower frequencies and killed the sound. Turns out the floor needs to be 'bouncy' so the room can do it's magic with the lower frequencies.

Explains why I am getting such good acoustics in my room despite using procelain tiles. Reason may well be due to the adhesive used to bond the tiles to the concrete floor - elastic adhesives behaving effectly acts as tiny springs/cushions between the flooring and the concrete foundation.

Never had any good experience with tiles before until now. Sometimes luck can play a huge role in getting that perfect sound.

This is a major update with big improvements in the GUI, inner-workings, and more importantly audio quality.

Read this quick introduction to what's new in Blind Testing, then download and apply the update.

Snakeoil OS is the only software out there giving you 100% control on how you want your music to sound like. In other ways, Snakeoil OS is music your way. Designed by the Snakeoil Squad, but uniquely defined by you.

1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1 cannot resolve some of my domains too. All I did is to delete then recreate the domains and it's all working again.
DuckDNS and cloudflare DNS over HTTPs

I've been using dnscrypt client with cloudflare DoH for some time now and noticed that few domains me or my friends registered with duckdns very often fail resolutions.

e.g. trying to resolve 78977.duckdns.org (but have the same issue with any other duckdns.org domains)

Dnscrypt reports:

Server [cloudflare] returned temporary error code [2] -- Upstream server may be experiencing connectivity issues

Things work flawlessly when using 9.9.9.9 or 8.8.8.8

I have asked about it both dnscrypt and cloudflare people. but no good answer yet. maybe you guys can shed some light on it.

My interest is in 2 channel stereo. But like most I have a home theatre too. It's been unloved for too long, here's my first HT upgrade in 13 years. The Marantz AV8805.

The first unit in Australia. Not as good as it's premium brothers, but an impressive beast on it's own right. Loving the 8805 so far (and it's not even calibrated or run in yet).
