Folk meets classic, me playing variations about an old song from the 16st century. The composer Annette Degenhardt has published circa 100 solo pieces, influenced by folk music, Irish, French musettes....Worth to discover!

About Sidney Pratten!
New post on The Resourceful Guitarist: 'Reminiscences of Madame Sidney Pratten' by Frank Mott Harrison (1899).

A short read that gives you insights into one of the 19th century's most influential guitarists who is sadly forgotten about today.

Pratten left us much important info on how 19th century guitarists played their instrument. The information totally changes how you interpret 19th century pieces (music by Sor, Giuliani, Aguado, Legnani, Mertz, etc.)

She was a child prodigy who performed with Regondi, eventually owning one of his guitars (as well as one of Sor's). She taught over 2000 students, so her influence reached far and wide.

What would you like me to post next?
a) A method book
b) A book of pieces
c) A book of studies
