The Cliff is eroding on Baltic Sea Island Rügen.
Between 0,3 and 1 m of coastline is getting lost every year. Especially during long rainy periods the soft chalk is breaking down and rockfalls make the beach underneath a dangerous place. When I was there the stairs down to the beach were closed due to security reasons.

Dorum, German North Sea Coast, Dorum-Neufeld.
Historic Light House, today a museum which can be visited if the wind does not blow too strong (we have been up the stairs at a wind speed of approx. 70-80 km/h)

Stalag 326 Stukenbrock-Senne
Approximately 310.000 sowiet prisoners of war transited throgh this camp in Germany on their way to their final destinations. Mortality was extremely high and estimations vary between 15.000 and 65.000 men who died here. Today this place is a memorial worth to be visited - especially for those people who think that extremism, nationalism, intolerance and other isms are valid means of policy today. At the end Germany was destroyed like Aleppo (Syria) today...
