I started poking around while looking at some stuff this morning, and I can't help but wonder if +Pushbullet has basically been abandoned.

No app updates since last October, nothing on the company's blog since October 2016, and no significant activity on the company's Twitter account since about that same time.

The account has sent some scattered replies since then, but even those ended in December -- despite there being numerous questions posed by users, including paying subscribers, over the past several months (https://twitter.com/search?q=%40pushbullet).

About the only place I've been able to find any signs of life are on Reddit, where the founder still posts occasionally and swears the app isn't dead (https://www.reddit.com/user/guzba). If it isn't technically dead, though, it sure seems to be on life support. That's a shame to see.

That being said, of course, maybe it shouldn't be entirely surprising. See below, from 2015.

Time to pour one out for an old friend, I guess?

An interesting aside to this: Google originally had a different name for Treble but was advised not to use it because of possible "issues."

The name Treble then came about because of that "All About That Bass" song -- since Treble was, y'know, all about the base. (Totally not kidding.)

Project Treble was supposed to "fix" Android upgrades. So now that Android 9's out in the wild, how are things going -- and what sort of results should we expect?

Man, there sure is a lot of P in my stream here on social media today.

(We can make those jokes one more time, right? I think it's practically an obligation at this point...)

P.S. Hi, Pie!
