Two little models in buckwheat field

I met them on 4C highway to Quan Ba - a rural area Northern of Ha Giang province, where your adventure begins to an outstanding scenery of Dong Van karst plateau geopark.

A long story about them and how they have to work as models for tourists, which hurts me a lot....Just hope they will have a better life in near future.

If you travel to Vietnam this time (Dec to Feb) in buckwheat season, you would see those little models on the way to Quan Ba, Dong Van.

Bảo Lạc market (Bao Lac town, Cao Bang province)
This local market isn't known to tourists then you would have authentic experience. It's only open at the morning each 5 days (5th, 10th, 15th...) you can see Lô Lô minority ethnic group and H'mong group with their colorful traditional dresses, where they trade their produce, very busy, energetic specially this month January, before lunar new year

a Lô Lô woman was selling bananas, she walked about 10km to the market

We just came back from the northernmost part of Vietnam to bring wet-weather rubber boots to some 446 needy children at the beginning of what looks like a long rainy season. These children are living high in remote mountains of Hà Giang province, such as Trà San, Bó Đước, Tà Phìn, Thượng Sơn...... We only visited three schools, where these boots will be distributed to children in extremely hard-to-get-to areas. This is a small gesture to a large impoverished population, who need as much help as they can get. I would like to thank all those who donated to buy these boots and help us get them to the kids.

To my love......
a song of Enya

So I could find my way
A thousand dreams you gave to me
You held me high, you held me high
And all those years you guided me
So I could find my way

goodbye......
