My favourite grape variety, the Silvaner, now on a cool shirt!

Silvaner was planted first in 1659 in Castell / Franconia. Besides Riesling it is the most renowned white grape in Germany.

Sommer, Sonne, Wein - Summer, Sun and Wine!
This time I want to draw your attention to the new edition of the Wein Tourist Magazin, where we bring you to the best places (winewise) in the Mediterranean this month.

You don't understand German? Don't worry! All articles are also available in English in the WineTourist Magazine. Just follow the link on top of each article.

And hey, there are great pictures anyway.

Enjoy!

Long time no see!
Want to discover another obscure grape variety of Germany? Then please have a look into my recent post about the Domina wines. What’s this about sex? Well find out within the post.

Cheers!

Don't miss my Easter-special about wines out of the egg
Is it science or esoteric, what so ever, there are pretty good wines which are made in concrete eggs. I tried to get to the bottom of this question. Please have a look.

Happy Easter to all of you!
Ingo

The German answer to the Sauvignon Blanc is called Scheurebe. This year we celebrate the 100th anniversary of this grape variety. Please read more about this in my blog.

Cheers!
