Whoa! Do you ever get busy with other projects and forget to post on social?

That's what happened to us this week! We seemed to have put G+ on the back burner this week and have been focusing on giving our website a fresh coat of paint (take a look: http://wfa.re/2DOlJEz), working on some new blog posts, participating in Facebook live events and Twitter chats, and working on a few other projects.

But, we missed you, so we are back. Please forgive us! We will do a few extra posts this weekend to make it up to you!

Love you, G+ peeps!

You may or may not realize it, but your Google My Business (GMB) listing can be a huge component of your SEO strategy if you are a local business.

The details you list on your business profile can be shown alongside search results, helping you occupy more SERP real estate and enabling you to immediately communicate your hours of operation, contact details, website new offers, etc.

And, of course, since Google has recently added new tools to their in-search business listings, such as Google Posts, it is becoming an even bigger consideration.

Did you know that too many social sharing buttons can be a bad thing (http://wfa.re/2DhHjBg)

Many new bloggers take the "kitchen sink" approach to their website ... in other words, they include everything, even the kitchen sink. The result is often a confusing, cluttered mess that leaves visitors unsure of what they are supposed to look at or do next.

Offering too many social sharing buttons can lead to confusion as well. According to Webaholic, this problem is known as "decision paralysis" and can occur when an individual is given so many choices that they end up not being able to make a decision. It is also known as the "Paradox of Choice" which we have written about before.
