Flowing Through Autumn

Autumn photo session by my favorite waterfall. Main reason why it's my favorite is that it's the closest that I'm aware of :-)

Driftwood Dragon in Snow

I was shooting this piece of driftwood just a couple of days earlier. There was no ice or snow then. A friend of mine named it the "Driftwood Dragon" (it's more obvious if you see all of it...) so I'll stick to that. Anyway, this was a beautiful sunset so I got a good hour of photography :-)

Frozen Waterfall

2 years ago it was possible to do photos like this. It's too bad it's not the same cold now, since I've got plenty of time for photography right now. Oh well, I can edit old photos and share them with you instead :-)

Black Friday

It's Black Friday today, so I give you a rather black photo :-) The photo shows a small part of the Great African Rift Valley, just as the sun settles. This is from Tanzania, by lake Manyara.

Autumn Shell

Fall colors are at their peak right now here in Sweden. The weather isn't very co-operative though, lots of rain. Friday evening I did get the chance to capture some of the beauty though, think it turned out great!

Winter in Old Linköping

As the city center of my home town Linköping got modernized in the 50:s and 60:s some people thought it was a shame to destroy all the old buildings. So, they started to move them into a "new" district, called "Old Linköping". They formed a small town of its own, looking the way a small town would have done in the 19th century. It's a popular tourist attraction and it has also been used in quite a lot of movies.

Of course, such a place is worthy of having a photo in a little more old style.

March Sixteenth

On my way to work and there's a fabulous fog. Just a short detour to get some nice trees into the frame. A couple of quick snaps and then on to work. Perfect start of the day!

Exhibition time!

My next photo exhibition starts today! It's the "I vattnet speglas ljuset" (Water reflects the light) that gets exhibited for the second time.

This time it's at Lofta Caffè in the northern part of Småland, Sweden. Open Friday/Saturday/Sunday throughout September. Opens at 11 and closes at 16. They also have a great selection of coffe, cake, pie and lunch. Don't miss it!

Falling Apart

This is an old transformer tower, from the days when Sweden was getting electricity. The equipment couldn't stand the weather, so it had to be placed indoors. The country was full of these towers (I assume that's true for many other countries as well, I know quite a lot of them...), but since they really aren't needed any more a lot of them have disappeared and some of them are, like this one, barely standing.

I have a friend who collects photos of the towers, so this was taken on a trip with him.

Nadja at Hovetorp lock

Nadja is a piece of history. Not sure quite how old, but the first traces found in papers is from 1915, so she's at least 100 years old. We're a group of 7 families who maintain and enjoy her :-) Lots of work but it sure feels good when you get to go on that first ride of the year (and all the others...).

The Kinda canal goes from Linköping down to Rimforsa. It's also a piece of history that today is only used for pleasure rides, so they go well together!
