Everything starts with a dream....
Stormy skies were just perfect long enough to capture a 5 and a half minute exposure yesterday at my favorite lake in Sanford. This was so exciting to me as I was using my widest lens, the Nikon 14-24mm with Singh-Ray Filters Mor-Slo 15 stop neutral density filter, a beautiful combination! I also used a 2 stop reverse grad to balance the light. Singh-Ray carries filters for this larger size lens, and everything Singh-Ray is on sale 20% off till mid September! How cool is that? This never happens! I can't wait to make a few more shots here during the stormy month of August. Happy Saturday!

The clouds are always improvising, but the culprit is the wind...
A long exposure with my camera creates streaks of color across the sky with wind painted clouds. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

348 seconds of exposure time for boats at Marina Island in Sanford, Florida. In the summer, the water can be near motionless, which gave me a unique opportunity to shoot a long exposure. Chilly here in Florida today, I'm looking forward to warmer weather again. Have a great day!

River Walk, San Antonio, TX
The River Walk area gets decorated for the holidays right down to the water taxis! I love what happens as the colorful taxis move through down the river at night leaving streaks of light behind. All the more holiday cheer!
Nikon D810, Nikkor 24-70mm lens, 15 second single exposure.
Have a wonderful day!

Wind Painted Clouds
Over time, clouds surround one of my favorite places to photograph, the River Walk area around Lake Monroe. For this image I used a Vü Filters, polarizer and a 10 stop neutral density filter to allow the wind to paint clouds across the sky during the 213 second exposure. Another adventure in time travels! Have a wonderful day!

TIME TRAVELS

I hope you have a chance to read the article, January 2016 issue which should be at news stands soon. Enjoy!

Storm clouds make an impressive appearance during a 5 minute exposure. My personal project, developing clouds are always the best here in Florida during the late summer. I'm looking forward to a few more photo opportunities this year. I hope everyone is having a great week!

Beautiful patterns across a sky created by wind and clouds over time. Cloud paintings are always random and serendipitous, each photo unique. Nikon D810, 16mm-35mm lens, 275 seconds at f/11 with the new Vü neutral density filters that I've been trying out. Have a great day!
