I valued this community because it was quiet and had all of the commodities that I desired, for a reasonable price. After living there for three months I discovered that putting in a maintenance request was a lost cause. They would frequently stop by, stare at the issue for about ten minutes, then say they were going to come back. Only they never came back. If you need something fixed here you need to do it yourself.
The apartment staff are extremely unprofessional, rude, and could honestly give two shits about you as a paying tenant. (Jenn is kind though, although I believe she is just a puppet)
The trash pick up is mandatory and you are forced to pay for it. They will write $50 tickets if your bin weighs over 20 pounds.
I came to this apartment immediately after the beautification project and it was really attractive. When I left the complex (after only a year) the place was completely deplorable.
I am an extremely clean living person and I lost my entire deposit. I had professional cleaning and detailing of the entire apartment prior to moveout and left it in better condition than when I moved in. I requested a walk through upon moveout and they complied, finding zero damages to the apartment. These people are genuinely crooks and you are forced to dispute charges with their headquarters in Seattle. Truly victimized.
Avoid this place at all costs. I've barely scratched the surface of the shenanigans that I've had to deal with at this place.

To this point, I have paid all my fees (came to $275 after half my deposit was waived) and have dealt with the incredibly pleasant and helpful office staff. My move-in date is December 19. Even though there are quite a few negative reviews, my experience to this point has me optimistic.

Moving in was a breeze. Office staff is once again the complete opposite of the consensus among these reviews. I did have an issue with what looks to be caused by the painters before my move - the blinds in both the living room as well as the bedroom caught quite a bit of overspray, resulting in destroyed pull-strings. One of the cleaners must have wanted to open a window and yanked on the bedroom window blind because it was ripped off the brackets, damaging both. But I made a quick call to the office and was told they would do their best to fix both blinds over the weekend (taking longer due to staff on vacation). Other than a scuff or two and some dust, the apartment is in beautiful shape. still thrilled with my decision.
These apartments suck big time! The biggest reason is the property manager. She is extremely rude, unprofessional, and immature. This company made the biggest mistake hiring her. Ever since she has started to run these apartments, ALL staff has quit (not fired) simply because she is that hard to get along with, therefore you never know who is coming into your home for maintenance or who has a key to your apartment. The people that she has hired on since she has been here are all her personal friends. She never takes responsibility for her own actions and is the immature type to blame any problems on anyone besides herself. NEVER expect any better from her though because she is not above this in any way. Since then the apartments have went downhill and fast. They use to have trash compactors in each section, which were always piled up with trash on the outside because tenants were too lazy to just put it inside of the compactor. Instead, she had them all removed but one and you are now FORCED to have valet trash services which you are charged extra per month for and have no other option. This was her idea. She claims it was the residence idea but I AM A RESIDENT and I was NEVER asked my opinion. She is a chronic liar, which is why I say she is so unprofessional and immature. The more reasonable way to handle that instead of punishing all tenants with this mandatory valet trash service would be to find out who was disposing their trash improperly and issuing them a fine for it. What the apartment complex needs is an adult running the show, not this kid. Basically, if you want to be disrespected and lied to, move here. The Vintage claims they are luxury apartments. There is absolutely nothing luxurious about these. All the appliances are plain jane. My apartment has carpet but the apartments that are vacant are getting vinyl put in instead of carpet. Good luck that stuff is so easy to tear holes in and cheap. Where is the luxury in vinyl? This apartment does something stupid that I have never seen any other apartments do, and that s charge you for new drip pans for your stove if the ones you have been using for your contract time are dirty. Who doesn t dirty up drip pans??? The parking in the complex sucks. Good luck finding one by your front door. The construction is never productive. They are now painting the apartments this pastel yellow, the exact same color as The Courtney Manor on the other side of Blanding Blvd. off Collins Rd. The doors are black metal and get extremely hot during the summer. My daughter burned her hand severely on the door in the middle of the day. I have been here for over a year and the gym has never had equipment that worked. Never. And it is not in their budget to put brand new equipment in there, so until they come up with the money, and believe me that will be never because they are extremely cheap, you will only be getting that old, worn out equipment repaired. Enjoy that early 90s treadmill. Lastly, the front office smells like cigarettes because the property manager is a heavy smoker. Especially if you are pregnant, I don’t recommend going inside the main office unless you want to run out gagging from the thick smell of ash tray.
If you have a deposit with Vintage at Plantation Bay please don't expect to get it back no matter how clean you leave the apartment their excuse will be that we have to paint the apartment and deduct it from your deposit. They will not send you the balance of your deposit. Make sure you take pictures of how you left the apartment, so you'll have prove of your own. The office staff is rude and the only time they will act nicely is when representative of the owner is on the property. If you put a work order in they take forever to fix the problem,
I would not advise anyone to rent here. i have been here for a year this august and management has chamged four times. they aew slow to fix everything my water bill has doublrd when they hanged water companies apartments are over priced for them to not include any upgraded appliances. i was rold at move on they were gonna change my stove out anf blinds out. still has mot happened. they have pissy attitudes as well. i havea leak in the ceiling so therr is a huge brown stain trickling down the wall ugh i cant wait to move
So this is a great place to stay if your past residence happend to be ashwitz. This place is that bad. Dont let initial visit determine if you get this place, they promise you this and.that like a hot tub ( cold) gym (all broke) or the.free.cable.wich.they.took.away.without.notice.also watch.for.that.hike.in.water.bill that doubled because we put.a.new.Billing system in.place. Repairs.are.never made unless you bug.them everyday. oh dont you dare plesure your.woman or man all will hear thru the paper thin walls........be warned
I so love my apt. So big and grounds is kept up.

Worse place in Jacksonville during the lease process everything was rainbows and butterflies......untill. well at first we were told free cable bonus weight room bonus pool hottub bonus WELL four months into our lease they cut of thee free cable and tried to force xfinity cable on us. Then the weight room has zero upkeep the machines are always broke so hope you like dumbbells. We then had a leak in the celing and a dark brown sludge was leaking down the ceiling onto the floor. We informed maintenance after waiting four hours a man showed up and looked at the hole in the ceiling, wall then floor then left. We never heard back again and called three times each time we were told in a day or two. Then the "hottub" well yea never is above luke warm so that is a complete waste. Now for the obvious paper thin walls bad water constant flow of bugs into the house. And enjoy the 900 for rent and the 70 for water that was 40 untill they changed how they do the billing.
