Very peaceful and noone bothers. For my first time moving out and everything is in good condition for the most part. Also includes a gym and park, etc. Love the area so I would recommend it only thing sucks is the snow since we're close by the mountains. It's near the freeway, local areas to go to and not to far from downtown reno and malls.

When my husband and I moved in we loved it at first, then everything in our apartment started to fall apart, the sink flooded our kitchen the dishwasher had a leak that was never fixed the washer and dryer started to go out and was never replaced. Our water heater broke and was letting Co2 in our house and we had to wait a week to get it fixed. The lady down stairs moved in about 3 months after us and complained about EVERYTHING! So we had a note on our door at least once a week maybe more! Neither my husband nor I smoke cigarettes and there were 3 notes put on our door saying she complained that her house smelled of cigarettes! She complained about our dogs saying they were aggressive (both well trained SERVICE dogs!) she would get combative with me and curse at me. Never once did we give her any real problems or anything real to complain about, and when we would go ask what was going on they simply said "she came from an apartment with pit bulls so she's traumatized by dogs." Again we had two well trained SERVICE dogs! The gardening people would start up all their loud tools at 6:30 or 7:00 in the morning and we couldn't sleep through it! Over all just had a really bad year living there! 👎🏻

It's worth the drive to live at the Silver Lake Apartments. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. The management is very good. Our heater stopped working and we had people out here in 20 minutes to fix it. I have had to call twice to get small things repaired, but it's not a big deal. We are in the 2 bedroom and it's set up very well. The washer and dryer are not full size, but big enough. Free cable with one HBO channel is an added bonus. We don't have a problem with parking, but I can see how that might be dependent on the location of your apartment. If possible get one of the buildings with central AC as I have been told the older units with only a room AC do not work well. I have never had a problem with my neighbors. I hardly ever see the police in here and I do not see a reason for them to be here. Clean and quiet. Only down side I can see is the closest bus stop is on Stead Blvd. and it's quite a walk down there. So don't move here if you depend on public transportation. I am never afraid to walk around the complex at night. Our cars have never been vandalized. Great place...check it out! :)
