Location is perfect. Right in the center of all attractions. Walking distance to multiple restaurants and businesses. Located behind El Cajon Blvd, so it can get busy. However, Security does patrol at night. SDPD, in addition, makes their patrol rounds; very visible within our community. No problems.
Although I do not rent out of Mission Pacific Apartments, I do rent directly from the company at Pelican Point (a smaller sub unit located accross the street). Actually, the company owns half the apartments on 44th street. I have access to all of the ammenties from both Mission Pacific and Pelican Point. It's such a deal breaker. The pool area is very much upgraded compared to other places. A hot tub with WI-FI connection is a few steps away. Vending machines at your dispense outside next to a shower. Behind is a hot sauna at your leisure. The BBQ area is right around the corner equipped with 2 propane grills (that are always full of gas), 2 patio tables and chairs with umbrellas, a couch to lounge on, and a pool table outside ready to be played. Not to mention, a very small garden area that residents can pick vegtables from. There are 2 fitness centers (a weight room and a cardio room). I admit these 2 rooms could be upgraded; hopefully, sometime in the future. The weight room is equipped with 1 universal machine, while the cardio room has a treadmill and an elliptical. Very small; but you're not renting here for their gym. If you're a fitness nut, you should not cancel your gym membership. In fact, I go to 24HR Fitness off of College Grove - 10 minutes away. There are gyms very close by. The laundry facility is amazing and spacious. No more coins. Just slide your card, and the machines are ready to wash and dry. There is also WI-FI for your iPads, iPhones, iPods, or computers. My unit also has a small laundry room, which you can use coins. Depending on the week, I use both facilities.
The unit I rent from is a 2 bed 1 bath; very comfortable and spacious. The price range fits my standards. No complaints, although the kitchen can be bigger. But I'm not a gourmet chef, so it's perfect for me. Closet space is great. Don't have to say no more. There is not an A/C unit, so it can get hot during the summer. It is smart to invest in a portalble or window unit; cheap at Home Depot. There is a small BBQ area outside (great for those nights you want to grill a steak). I have 2 assigned parking spots, along with street parking. Parking has never been an issue for my guests.
Forgot to mention, pet friendly. There is a small dog trail located in the back of Mission Pacific, where you can have your pets go to the bathroom.
The office personnel are very friendly, professional, and concerned for their residents. They will break their back for you. I've rented from a few apartment complexes. From my experience, they have been the best to me thus far. They run a good business. I would be surprised if I heard any different from other residents. The maintence crew are always on the job working hard to meet your standards and finish any work orders. I have made friends and acquaintances with all them, so it's kind of like family here. The residents, too, are friendly; also military friendly. Once a month, a social event is held where you can mingle with everyone, eat free pizza, and network.
I think I said enough!!!
