Harry S. Dent, Demographic Cliff update... as heard on Market Wrap With Moe podcast.

Sees another crash, maybe in 2015, maybe it is beginning already.

Cycles that matter: all four of his indicators point downward until 2020. Government can't beat demographics by printing money.

He loves India. Thinks China's best days are behind them. Next global boom will be emerging markets.

Sectors: Discretionary healthcare and wellness. RVs, overseas travel, cruise ships. Retiree things, aging industries.

GOLD: continued gold meltdown, due to 30 year commodity cycle. Deflation. Money is being destroyed as bad assets unwind. He still thinks gold is headed to $700, then bottom at $250-$400 (about 2020), if you buy in at that point, it could go to $5000 but only by the end of the next 30 year commodity cycle (2050).

Real Estate in strongest markets will crack. NY, London, Paris, Sydney, Singapore, etc. He thinks Germany will be in trouble soon enough. China's real estate is a complete basket case; China's top 1-2% wealthy will be severely impacted.

Bad sign... 10 year government bonds are going up, even if economy is weak. Happening all over, including USA.

If we continue to acidify the oceans, and destroy the food chain of microorganisms that live in it... we're done. We would've put the gun to our head and pulled the trigger.

The Harry Browne #permanentportfolio  compares exactly with the Charles Schwab Conservative Allocation in terms of CAGR, but with much less volatility and drawdown over 1972-2014. This is a fantastic retirement allocation. Schwab in blue, Permanent Portfolio in red.
