Success Stories!  -

Emma is our One Millionth Pet Registered. Here's her story written by her owner Debbie:

Emma’s Story
My name is Debbie, my husband is Don and we have 2 Kids, Kimberly and Matthew. On July 23, 2013, Matthew went to the Sarasota Sheriff’s Animal Services Rescue Kennel to find a dog for his sister who recently had graduated from FSU and had moved to Tampa to start a new job. Matthew found Emma and immediately fell in love and called Kimberly to tell her all about this adorable pup who needed a home. He sent pictures and explained to Kim that Emma had been found in the woods; she was under weight, had hook worm, double ear infections, and her entire body was covered in hundreds of bug bites. It was decided that Emma was ours. Kim came home to Sarasota that night to meet Emma and again it was love at first sight. It was decided as a family that because Emma was a puppy; approximately 4 month’s old, and needed medicines 3 times a day and a lot of attention that she would stay with us. That evening Emma also got to meet her “big sister” Riley who was rescued 4 years earlier from the same kennel. Emma is an extremely happy dog whose eyes crinkle because she actually smiles when you walk in the door then runs and brings you whatever toy she can find closest to her to share with you. Because Emma lived in the woods she would eat whatever she could; one of the obstacles we had with her was to teach her not to eat lizards and frogs, but after several weeks Emma made a full recovery from the various problems she had from living outdoors. She loves to play and wrestle with Riley and when Riley is swimming in the pool Emma is patrolling the backyard for squirrels. When the girls are tired you will always find them lying together sleeping. Emma and Riley are best friends and the 2 dogs will be staying together with us now. Kimberly comes home on weekends just to spend time with her “puppies”; the brown one and the white one. When Matthew is not working or volunteering at the fire dept. he is with the girls taking them places or just running them in the field. Emma and Riley are as much a part of our family as each of us is. They make us smile, laugh, and keep us company. Emma is no longer by herself; she has all of us and her best friend Riley.

                              FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Brian Donovan, world renowned dog trainer and behaviorist, invents patented Snap Lead to humanely communicate with dogs.

WIXOM, Michigan -(DOGstar Productions)--petkey LLC, The Snap Lead is made of a strong nylon webbing, with a secure metal clasp and built-in elastic self-snapping mechanism getting your dog's attention to warn him/her that their behavior is unacceptable without pinching, choking, or shocking. Behaviors like pulling on the leash, running off, and inattentiveness are responsible for the loss and death of thousands of dogs each year. This training leash will help maintain a dog's attention and keep him/her safe.

Imagine folding a belt in half with both of your hands on either side creating a loop in the middle. When you pull outward on the belt, the loop makes a snapping sound. This very example is what sparked the idea for the Snap Lead . "There hasn't been any real advancements in training tools since the electronic collars", say Brian Donovan, "The Choke Collar was patented in 1950." The loop is built into the leash and connects to any regular dog collar. The snapping sound is what is used in assisting in the training process without contracting, pinching or shocking making it the most humane training lead on the market.

Brian Donovan who is known as an innovator in the pet industry announced the easiest, safest and most humane way to train your dog through invention of the Snap Lead . DOGstar Productions, created by Donovan, produces and distributes instructional dog training videos that address key trainable animal behavior. DOGstar has distributed nearly 2 million copies and continue to be popular with new pet owners as they create a long-lasting, happy and healthy relationship and pet ownership experience. "The best way to strengthen the human animal bond with your pet is through training" States Brian Donovan. Through his training experience, the patented Snap Lead" was created.

Trebek has participated in 13 USO tours and was a recipient of the USO Bob Hope Award for his achievements in entertainment and commitment to America's troops. With World Vision, Trebek has traveled to many Third World countries reporting on the group's efforts on behalf of children around the world. He has traveled with his family to Zambia, where he adopted a village and helped build a school, homes for teachers, and a medical facility. How cool is this? #BadJeopardyCategories
