Dr. Alison Colbert has been chosen as the Associate Editor of the International Journal of Forensic Nursing (JFN). She has served as a member of the Board of JFN for the past three years. Congratulations!

Dr. Colbert is also a contributor to the new Forensic Nursing book by Dr. Kathleen Sekula - "A Practical Guide to Forensic Nursing"

Congratulations Rosanna Henry and Susan Hardner who were accepted in the highly competitive NLN Leadership Institutes!

Rosanna was accepted into the NLN's 2016 Executive Leadership in Nursing Education and Practice Program. This program is part of the NLN Leadership Institute in the Center for Transformational Leadership, which focuses on leadership development for nurse educators who are already in leadership positions and aspire to advance and increase their impact as a leader.

Susan was accepted into 2016 NLN LEAD program. LEAD is part of the NLN Leadership Institute in the Center for Transformational Leadership, which focuses on leadership development for nurses in education and practice who aspire to lead.

Mission
The purpose of the School of Nursing is to prepare nurses to practice professional nursing to meet the dynamic health care needs of individuals, families, groups, and communities. Faculty facilitate the education of students in the art and science of nursing to provide ethical, holistic, culturally competent, and population-based care in collaboration with a variety of health care systems.

Description
The School of Nursing is a widely recognized pioneer in nursing education, having created Pennsylvania’s first B.S.N. program in 1937 and the nation’s first online nursing Ph.D. program in 1997. Today, our school is recognized by the National League for Nursing as a Center of Excellence, and our graduate program has been ranked nationally by US News & World Report. 
Our nursing programs truly prepare students to succeed. In fact, we were proud to earn a 100 percent pass rate on the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Board Exam for the 2011 graduates of our Family Nurse Practitioner Program.
