Bike San Francisco and the Golden Gate 5/25
Come enjoy the beautiful San Francisco Bay by bike!  We will cruse the Waterfront, cross the Golden Gate Bridge, and explore Sausalito or Tiburon before returning home by ferry.  This route provides some of the most amazing views of the city, which we will capture #throughglass .

Complete details are forthcoming.  But having recently made this excursion myself, I will provide a few details.  Bikes can be rented for ~$35/day from several shops on the SF Waterfront.  The trip covers about 9 miles of mostly flat terrain, with a few strenuous inclines (which we can walk up).  I highly recommend enlisting a guide, which we can acquire for an additional flat rate.  This route really does cover some amazing views of the city and bay.  The time listed is flexible, and may be adjusted as people weigh in.

I expect most of us to take the ferry back from Sausalito.  But if anyone is interested in extending the trip to visit the Redwoods in Tiburon, there is a separate ferry which can bring us back from there.  Please leave comments if you have any thoughts.  I can't wait to see everyone there!

Reminder: Free Glass Class tomorrow at SF Basecamp
Glass Class at SF Basecamp on 5/24

Remember the amazing feeling of wearing Glass for the first time? The wonder, the excitement, the curiosity, and of course, the questions. You may have wondered the following thoughts:

How are other Explorers using Glass throughout the day?
What are the do's and don'ts of being an Explorer?
Any tips for giving a demo to my friends and family?

We’ve decided to start a ‘Glass Class’ in the San Francisco Basecamp on Saturday, May 24th, for new and seasoned Explorers . We’ll go through connectivity, Glassware, navigating Glass, and other tips and tricks. Bring your questions, learn from a Guide, fellow Explorers, and make some friends!

We have limited availability, so schedule a time below if you’d like to join us.

Reminder: Maker Faire Meetup tomorrow
Maker Faire is a celebration of engineering, technology, and the Maker spirit.  And the Bay Area Maker Faire - returning to San Mateo May 17-18 - is an event to behold.  From robots and fire-breathing dragons to singing tesla coils and a life-size game of mousetrap, there are countless projects to explore.

Let's meet up to Explore the event #throughglass , and interact some clever makers.  You might even find a project you'd like to get involved with.  Thanks to +Richard Hay for suggesting the event!

For more details, check out the Maker Faire page at: http://makerfaire.com/
For a map of the event:  http://goo.gl/gr2mNY
Ticket info: http://goo.gl/t9S5gm
Program Guide: http://goo.gl/UEJlyI

We will meet up Saturday (5/17) from 12-4 with a route (coming soon).  Feel free to join up or separate if there's something special you'd like to check out.  Before and after, feel free to explore on your own or with friends.  If you haven't been before, the event is enormous and you can easily spend a whole day (or two) wandering the booths.  So plan accordingly if you'd like to see more.  Also, parking is very difficult from the late-morning on.  I recommend you check out the free parking areas with shuttles to the event (or take public transit).  Please be sure to select the RSVP option or comment so we can be sure to watch out for you.  See you soon!
