I wanted to get something vegan, in the good traditional Rastafarian way, but all they had was a cup of fake meat in sauce, which they charged $8, and all sides had dairy. Needless to say I will not be returning.

The food was fantastic, the sweet potato pie/cheese cake was AHHHHMAZING! The portions were large, and awesome. It was an interesting dynamic with the owners kids there, but it was quiet and quaint, and the food was just awesome!

Caribbean Feast catered for an event held at Penn State University on March 1st which fed about 250 people. The food was AMAZING! Everyone left satisfied and complemented the chef. The food was more than enough for people to get seconds. I am from the Caribbean and that was the first time I had real Caribbean food in the US that reminded me of a home cooked meal. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, whether you are from the Caribbean or just want GREAT Caribbean food. BEST CARIBBEAN FOOD IN THE US!!!!!!!!

This is the best in Philly! I've had the jerk chicken and the curry goat multiple times and they never disappoint! There Mac and chees is the best I've ever had! I've read reviews saying the service is bad, but after actually visiting Jamaica, I've learned that it's not the culture to have smiling faces greet you at the door. So I think the service is fine!

What an embarrassingly terrible dining experience. I had such high hopes for this place, it being so close to where I work and supposedly so vegetarian-friendly... We purchased the $25 for $50 Groupon largely because the menu that the deal linked to included an extensive vegetarian menu (I am a strict, life-long vegetarian). The linked website guaranteed (as did the menus in the restaurant) that all the vegetarian platters had no animal products at all. We made sure to make it very clear that everything needed to be vegetarian to our waitress, who was inattentive and unfriendly the entire evening. The place is also billed as BYOB, but they did not have any bottle openers for the beer we brought. The waitress did reluctantly say that someone in the back might have a way to open it, but didn't actually get it for us, instead just stood unsmiling as my boyfriend struggled to open his beer with a key (finally succeeding with a bottle of my nail polish). After waiting over an hour for our food, with only a basket of messy cornbread (with no napkins, plates or silverware) and water (after having to ask for it no less than three times), we finally got our food... and in my meal, I found a piece of meat. I had my non-vegetarian boyfriend taste it to be sure. I brought it to the waitress' attention, and she hardly gave an apology, just said off-hand she would tell the cook. She never came back to apologize or give any offer of restitution whatsoever. I was so upset by this and sickened that I was unable to finish my food, or even use the full amount of the Groupon for dessert as we had planned. We ended up only using $35.90 of the $50 amount. The food that I tried was not bad, but the experience was just one awful straw after another, and the final one being when our waitress just stared us down as we were calculating tip and such on the full amount (which of course we always do with a Groupon)... I actually had to ask her to leave and give us some time. It was uncomfortable, unsettling, and dishonest at best. I am so disappointed... it would have been so amazing to have even a mediocre vegetarian-friendly restaurant so close to my job, and to have a place to take my vegetarian family, but they certainly failed to do the least they could do to earn the business I was so ready to bring them.

Food good customer service is horrible! Every time my boyfriend and I come here we r greeted with attitudes and lack of interest in customer service. The food is good but not so great if you have to deal with nasty attitudes. I would recommend "Top taste" on 52nd and Arch in west philly. Nice people and GREAT food.

Great Food! Service OK. If you are a Jamaican food lover like me, then all other does not matter. This is most likely the best Jamaican food in Philly. The food here is just plain awesome. I would recommend getting your food and eating at home due to a surcharge. As for the customer service, it is about par with other Jamaican food places. Not 5 stars that is for sure. Dining room sucks, they charge a surcharge to eat there.

Thanks for reviewing us back in December, Duane. Although I'm glad you're a big fan of our food, I'm sorry you find us lacking in other respects. We aim to impress our guests with not only delicious Jamaican cuisine, but also acceptional service. Rest assured, I'll bring your review to my team's attention. It's never too late for a training opportunity. -Howard, Owner
