Mario was absolutely amazing!! I brought in my wedding gown for alterations and customizations and as beautiful as the gown was after his work, I almost wish I had had him create a gown for my from scratch! His work is divine, his professionalism unmatched, and I knew he would make my gown the one-of-a-kind gown I should wear! The compliments I received have been constant!! Thank Mario! If you need the most expert of experts, this is your man!!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner for our wedding a week and a half ago and boy let me tell you it was divine! Jimena, the private events coordinator, was fantastic the whole way through, ensuring we had absolutely everything we needed and was very hands-on during the planning and menu selection process. The room was absolutely gorgeous (which I knew since I'd been there for a myriad fundraisers) and the staff was extremely helpful. They offered to make us personalized menus based off of our rehearsal invitation and gave us our choice of many decor options! The room was styled beautifully! The food and drink were supreme and everyone really enjoyed themselves! I highly recommend Opia for your rehearsal dinner or any other event, or just for dinner! It is beautiful and the service is fantastic!!! Thank you, Opia!!

Let me just say - HIRE GEORGE STREET ASAP!!! Apologies for the lengthiness of this review but I just don't have enough fabulous things to say about this company, and its talent. From beginning to end - although I've not yet gotten the finished product as we only got married a week ago - George Street was simply fantastic. Their planners and coordinators were accommodating, professional and helpful from the beginning. I met with Taryn in their Manhattan, NYC offices, and she showed me many portfolios of lead photographers. She made me feel so comfortable (and even offered me a glass of champagne!). The photogs she showed me were based on their very extensive online survey process which was designed to get a sense of what kind of photography style I liked. That was great for me because I'm not sure, as someone who doesn't know too much about the art of photography, I would have known how to articulate what I like. I mostly know what I DON'T like. Through the slideshow, I found a photographer, whose work I loved, Ben. I booked GS and Ben on the spot. Their packages were extensive and affordable. I didn't second guess my choice once. I opted for the package of 1 Lead Photographer for 10 hours, 1 Associate Photographer for 6 Hours, and 1 Videographer for 10 hours. They didn't try to upsell me (which always makes me uncomfortable), but said that any add-ons could be made later on. I also didn't opt for the beautiful bound books they offer for an added price, since we were trying to maximize the use of our budget, but said we could order whenever we wanted after the fact. The next step was filling out an extensive day-of time line through their interactive online portal, which also included an option to link to a Pinterest board for either shots you wanted taken or inspiration-based shots (the feel you want your photos to have). They checked in with me frequently (but not annoyingly frequently). Once I submitted that, a coordinator called me to go over it so there was no confusion. You can also pay online through their portal in small or large amounts - which can be important when you're moving money around for wedding stuff. I got calls from Ben, my lead photog. and Saul, my videographer, the week before the wedding to again go through exactly what I wanted to ensure nothing was missed. They were both so professional. Ben even called me a few times after with ideas he had for photos based on my Pinterest board! On the day of the wedding, everyone arrived early! Not even on time! Ben and Saul, who were with me in the bridal suite, immediately had amazing ideas based on my hotel setting. At the beginning of the day, when things were slower, they would show me some of the shots on their cameras to ensure I was liking what they were doing. Ray went to my husband's suite. They were dresses professionally and acted professionally and their talent shown through immediately. They were coming up with artistic beautiful ideas immediately and were absolutely lovely to work with. Great personalities! I met Ray later at The Water Club (our venue) and he was equally as lovely. Everyone did exactly what I directed - sometimes going to places ahead of time or traveling with me of I requested. The posed family, husband and wife, and final bridal party photos went off without a hitch. They put themselves into harm's way essentially to go across the FDR drive to get the best shots. I got an email and call from the wedding coordinators at George Street a few days after to reconfirm my mailing address and to make sure everything went well and to inform me of when to expect our finished products (super fast! 4-5 weeks for photos, 2-3 months for videography both highlights reel and full video). I'm sure this lengthy review speaks for itself but seriously, brides, HIRE GEORGE STREET!!! They're simply amazing!!! A decision I promise you won't regret!!

If you're looking for a hotel in Manhattan - for your wedding suite, your wedding block, or for even just a normal stay in the city... you must must must go to the Roger NYC!!! It's the best NYC hotel I've ever been to in my life! We stayed for two nights two weekends ago for my wedding. My mother and I stayed in PH09 on Friday evening, and my husband and I stayed there on Saturday evening after the wedding. The room was BEAUTIFUL, the balcony fantastic. Liza and Mispa were FANTASTIC throughout the booking process. We took out a block of rooms and used 3 of the 10 reserved, in addition to the bridal suite. The room upgrades for our "VIPs" (my husband's family) were beautiful and very accommodating. I went for cocktails on Friday afternoon/evening downstairs in the restaurant/bar area with my family and everyone was so helpful and thoughtful. The drinks (and guacamole!) were fantastic and the service was great. When we returned to our room there was a bottle of champagne and strawberries waiting for us. What a nice touch! On Saturday, the staff was so helpful, bringing us room service which was beautifully prepared and delicious, and coming whenever we asked (and even when we didn't!) to clean up as there were a lot of us in the room all getting ready and eating (my mother, bridesmaids, hair and makeup artists, photographer and videographer), so there was a lot of mess we were making. Everything we needed seemed to appear out of thin air, it was incredible. They even provided us with a courtesy town car back to the hotel after the wedding reception was over! What a lovely touch and much appreciated! Talk about customer service! When we returned, not only was there a bottle of champagne, but it was a bottle of Veuve Clicquot! ON THE HOUSE! Unbelievable! We hosted a bridal brunch for about 8 of us the morning after at Roger and everything was so tasty and beautifully presented. I cannot say enough about the service, the actual hotel itself - it's so beautiful and no doubt will add tremendous beauty to our photos, and I felt so catered to. Thank you so much for making this wedding weekend absolutely perfect! ALSO - I must note... this hotel was impeccably clean!! Always a concern when you're booking online that things will look the way they look in photos. In fact, their photos, while beautiful, don't even do the cleanliness and beauty of this hotel justice!!

YOU MUST hire Andrew and Magic Smiles Photo Booth for your wedding!!!!! He was incredibly professional throughout the planning/booking, the photo strip he designed with our names and the date was the best I've ever seen at any photo booth, as were the props! They were the funniest and most fun! The team loaded in with plenty of time before the booth was scheduled to "open" and once it was, let me tell you, the line of my wedding guests to get their photos snapped was to the other side of the Water Club. They even stayed for an extra 45 minutes at the end of the night to accommodate the mad dash at the end!! If you want to have a seamless, perfect experience with a photo booth company, MAGIC SMILES IS FOR YOU!!!!

I cannot say enough about USDJ! Honestly this was one of the vendors I was pickiest about since music is so important to me (I'm a musician myself - and I had a large splay of ages in the crowd for my wedding). I did the thing that all DJs hate, which was submitting my own tailor-picked song-by-song list and they were a joy! Raul helped me through the booking process and was so lovely. I met with Frank, the owner of the company for more than an hour, and Rafael our DJ called me the week before the wedding to reconfirm all of our choices and pronunciations of all our names and the introductions for the bridal party's grand reception entrance. Rafael fed off the crowd off my list, playing Black Eyed Peas at the end of the night when my friends were getting wild on the dance floor and 50s-70s hits like Diana Ross and Frankie Valli when my grandparents were dancing. He curated the night exactly how I wanted it - not too much - not too little. I urge you to book them as soon as possible! What a great great experience!!! There were 50+ people on the dance floor every time I looked!

For anyone who's been to The Water Club right on the East River in Manhattan - for a wedding, for dinner, even to the Crow's Nest upstairs for a casual drink - I think it goes without saying that this is one of the most beautiful, fantastic, most delicious of locations in all of New York City. BUT... I'll say it anyway!! If you're looking for a classic, beautiful, elegant, memorable, city-on-the-water wedding, where all of your guests are fed the most exquisite food, treated to the most beautiful and iconic views New York has to offer, and provided such professional service they rant and rave about it for weeks, you must book The Water Club. Our wedding was my dream and beyond, but my guests, too, can't stop talking about it!!! One of my guests said "my filet mignon was so tender I skipped the steak knife and used my butter knife!" Another of my guests, a professional chef, remarked that the quality was that of a fine, restaurant, served beautifully and impeccably. The photos on social media from my guests of themselves against the water and iconic Coca Cola sign in Queens were abundant - it was more than clear that the vistas charmed all 130 of our guests. For my part, as the bride, it was the BEST experience I could have imagined. Joanne O'Connor, the events director and wedding coordinator, is a brilliant gem! She was accommodating always from the original inquiry, to booking, to tastings, to day-of organizations and tending to all of my request (personalized cocktails, assembling of framed family photos, pacing the evening perfectly - everyone had their food at the same time!, coordinating with all of my other vendors, and generally putting my mind at ease and feel like everything was taken care of. She even sent me weather updates as we got closer! And I even got to eat at my own wedding!! Joanne had some cocktail hour appetizers sent to my bridal suite directly preceding the ceremony, and I was able to eat ALL FOUR (!) courses of the main meal! I'm still dreaming about the mashed potatoes! The bartenders made my specialty drink to perfection! The wedding cake was delicious and gorgeous (so many tiers!) and beautifully designed with flowers from my florist, We Create and Co. by the Cake Chef. All in all, I cannot recommend The Water Club for your wedding (or brunch, or dinner, or cocktails!). The event was beautiful, ran perfectly and seamlessly (a bride's true dream), and none of my guests can stop talking about it!! Thank you, Joanne and The Water Club, for making me look like the best event planner of all time to my guests, when it was ALL YOU!!! I promise you won't be disappointed, brides! Go check this place out before it's booked for your date!
