If you want to try your hand at being a graphic designer, then look no further than a really neat online service called Snappa.
Sign up for an account, choose a template as a starting point, then adapt, tweak, complement and edit it until it looks the way you want.
It's a great way to produce brochures for your business, plus adverts and flyers and so on.
Snappa offers a number of account plans, starting with a completely free plan that still gives you access to thousands of templates and lets you download your finished work. Give it a try and see what you can create.

This weeks wallpaper is a mountain hillside reflected in a mist and fog filled river valley. Soft shades of blue ranging to lavender and pink soften the outlines of hills on either side of the still river. A line of trees and a shoreline add some contrasting sharper llines to an otherwise ethereal scene. Icons show up quite well even in the lighter parts of this background.

ZonePDF is an online service that does lots of handy conversions. For example, give it a big PDF file and it'll convert it into a zip file of images. You can also convert Word and PowerPoint to PDF, and loads more options too.
The service appears to be free, but you'll need to sign up for an account. There appears to be an implication that you only need to sign up if you want to do more than 2 conversions, but that wasn't the case when I tried it. So if you can't get the conversions to work, sign up. That should fix it.

Updated: Best Free Media Player
I've done some major research to find alternative media players capable of playing multiple types of media files, including various digital audio and video formats, CDs, and DVDs. They are also easy to install and use and are light on system resources. Not only do these programs replace WMP, iTunes and WinAmp, but they also exceed their functionality.
Check out Tips and Warnings at the end of this article.

A canary token is a web URL, email address, document file and so on which will trigger an action if it's ever accessed. Canary tokens don't have to be web URLs. They could be an email address, a Word document, a PDF file, and so on.
So why is this useful? Imagine that you keep your files on Dropbox. You suspect that someone else has guessed your password and has been looking at your files, but you can't prove it. Create a canary token in the form of a Word document and put it in your dropbox folder. If anyone accesses that file, you'll get an email with the IP address of the person who tried to access it.
Equally, if you have a password-protected area of your web site that is for your own private use only, put a canary token HTML file in there. If anyone attempts to access that page, you'll be notified. And if you have a database of email addresses, create an email address that is actually a canary token and add it to your database. If anyone steals the database and tries to send email to that canary address, you'll find out.
