Looking toward the viewing windows in the Lodge perched on the Grand Canyon's North Rim. The canyon looks so much different from this side as compared to the more easily accessible South Rim. Completely worth the time and effort to get here.

These massive boulders are sitting on pillars created by erosion over a very long time. I would guess it took thousands of years to create the pillars. This is near Vermillion cliffs at a small development called "Cliff Dwellers" in Northern Arizona.

If I still lived in West Texas I might be concerned by these clouds as they often accompany Tornados. However here in Northern Arizona I never used to worry about them. That changed after we had a couple of twisters come through about 20 miles East of town...Very uncharacteristic for this area.

I had been photographing a herd of elk in the fading light and failed to reset the ISO down from 6400 before shooting this crescent moon peeking out from the clouds. So it is a bit grainy...

My wife and I recently purchased a 2016 R-Pod Travel trailer by Forest River. Last week we went on a short (2 night) shake-down trip out into the woods 7 miles from home. We had a wonderful time and learned a few things about our new home away from home. We can't wait to go again...somewhere a bit farther from home next time.
