Very beautiful photo, I felt the urge to reshare.

Don't forget, tonight you have a chance to witness a spectacular lunar eclipse when the moon turns 'red.' The show begins around 11pm PST and lasts until 2:30am PST. If you want to know more, check out this video from Michael Zeiler https://vimeo.com/89766307.

This image was taken during a lunar eclipse on December 10, 2011. This was a unique opportunity when the eclipsed moon was setting behind Mount Shasta. Definitely an experience I will never forget.

Share with your friends and let them know about tonight's eclipse!

Stay warm and enjoy!

Here is a view of El Capitan in Yosemite Valley from October 2009. I have always loved this area and would like to spend more time there on our next visit. #nationalpark #yosemitenationalpark #yosemite

What is it about lighthouses that make them so interesting? Is it the rugged locations most of them occupy? Their commanding view of the waters they protect? I can't really say, I find each has it's own unique charm.

Story
Tagline
Tired of big cities and fast paced life, doing something about it.
Introduction
I was born, and have lived in the Southwestern U.S. all my life, although I have traveled to almost every state in the lower 48. Through the years I've spent time as a Cabinetmaker, Carpenter, Groundskeeper, Electrician and Plant operator/mechanic/instrument technician. I have even done some time as a dishwasher and short order cook. Whatever it took to provide for my family. I retired in 2006

I had considered taking up Photography as a hobby for many years and so I finally did, just before I retired. Teaching myself by reading lots and lots of internet posts, and studying photos taken by others, not to mention taking tons of my own. I hope to one day be considered a talented amateur photographer although I'm not really trying to please anyone except myself with the shots I take.
