Very interesting to finally see what is planned for the Olympic Slopestyle event seeing as it is one of the few disciplines in which courses are drastically different from event to event +Freeskier Magazine

Hey +Grant Bowen +Snowboard Green I was on the lookout for some #green practices form different companies.  2 Companies that really impressed me were #ZealOptics  and #EpicPlanks

Zeal states "For 2013, we have committed ourselves to offering a 100% plant based sunglass and goggle collection, so we are eliminating the use of crude oil in the manufacturing of our products." They are also based in Boulder, CO and their goal is to minimize their environmental impact.

Epic Planks also feel "Committed to making a conscientious effort to minimize negative impact on the environment." One cool thing they are doing to strive for that is the plant a tree initiative where they will plant a tree for every ski or snowboard purchased. They have also looked into other ways in their production to cut down on waste and reuse as much of their by products as possible.

Some pretty interesting things out there and it's awesome to see a lot of companies becoming so envirnmentally conscious.  I can't wait to see what other big companies start thinking the same way as well!
