FInally! The time lapse of the partial eclipse on March 22.
Really enjoyed taking the photos, did not enjoy the process of aligning them, all the tools failed frown emoticon had to write a custom application for that.
780 photos taken near Niederschöckl, Styria, Austria
Photos taken with a Canon 5d MKIII, 70-200mm 2.8F, with 2.0 extender at 400mm 5.6f and B&W ND filter. Post processed with Adobe Lightroom, alignment with custom java app (based on OpenCV), time lapse arranged with iMovie.

‪#‎tflow‬ #118 There is love and joy in the darkness of space. Found it!
Comet Lovejoy C/2014 Q2. May your journey never cross its path with our dear planet.
Photo taken with an EOS 5D MKIII, 70-200mm, 2.0 Extender at 400mm, 5.6F, 41 light frames at ISO 2500, exposure 35 sec, Astrotrac device for tracking, 25 dark frames to reduce noise. Stacking with Deep Sky Stacker.
Unfortunately, there is still too much noise and I am longing for clear night skies to get another shot of the beauty. But time is running out... the comet is about to leave our vicinity again and vanish for another 8000 years in the outskirts of our solar system.

#tflow #121 Good Evening.
Taken near my home (Niederschöckl, Graz) in January. The sunsets were so dramatic in December and January. Just jaw dropping!

‪#‎tflow‬ #119 Orion nebula (also known as M42, in the lower half) and the "Running Man Nebula" in the upper half (the blue nebula).
Photo taken with an EOS 5D MKIII, 70-200mm, 2.0 Extender at 400mm, 5.6F, 43 light frames at ISO 2500, exposure 40 sec, Astrotrac device for tracking, 25 dark frames to reduce noise. Stacking with Deep Sky Stacker.
The pic is bit out of focus but I am astonished on what one is able to achieve with a DSLR only (no telescope!).
Looking forward to exploring our skies from my carport!

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...
Andromeda Galaxy, 2.5 million light years away. On a head on collision course with the Milky Way. But that will take another 3.5 billion years.
Picture is the result of 43 single photos. 400mm, 5.6F, 5D MK III, Astrotrac device for guidance, 40 seconds exposure per pic, 2500 ISO
Photo taken from my carport, Niederschöckl, Graz, Austria.
