Michelle Imperato is thrilled to be anchoring KSBW Action News Sunrise alongside Dale Julin and reporting for KSBW’s Action News Midday. She comes to the Central Coast from New York, where she anchored and reported daily for the nightly News at Eleven on WLNY-TV 10/55.
During her 5 years at the station Michelle covered a number of well known international, national and local news stories, including the earthquakes in Haiti and Japan, the 2008 presidential election, “The Miracle on the Hudson” plane crash, as well as everyday issues affecting Long Island and Manhattan.
Michelle won two New York State Broadcasters Association awards for Outstanding Public Affairs Series, and was voted Best Local TV Reporter through a Long Island newspaper in 2011. She was also awarded the Carol M. Baldwin Foundation’s Penni Hartnett Community Service Award for her work raising awareness of breast cancer research.
Michelle studied Media and Communications at State University of New York Old Westbury and was a part of Long Island News Tonight at the New York Institute of Technology, where she first cut her teeth as a reporter.
