As much as I like the folks at Tierra Coffee Roasters, their roast, like many of the central and upstate New York roasts that I have tried, never agreed with me.

So I'm glad that Stacks Espresso came along and took over an existing shop Caffee Vero, adding a pour over bar and offering a rotating selection of roasters.

When I wisited, they had Barrington, a roast that I always enjoyed in Boston. Not sure about the friendliness of the barista when I was there, but I expect to be back over and over when I pass through Albany, so maybe there will be somebody more friendly working.
